All sillyness aside, the present day oil markets are different now. One of the (only?) good things the Obama administration did was to reverse an export ban and allow the US to export oil to other countries. It competely changed the global dynamics of the business. Today, it is less expensive to ship crude condensate from Texas to a refinery in Switzerland than it is to ship the same product from Libya to Switzerland. Strange times indeed...

the moratorium off the west coast would never, ever be enough to replace iran's oil in the marketplace...
besides, the west coast states do NOT want more oil drilling off their coastline.... and I don't blame them! their coast is the ''gold coast'' just like Florida's plus a huge fishing industry that relies on clean water.....
As Obama closed the west coast, he opened the East coast, didn't he?
And our huge oil production increases came from places like north dakota...

It was SA. We've known this for a long time. Why we didn't go after THEM and instead went after Saddam I'll never know. The evidence has always pointed to SA as the mastermind and money source behind the attacks. Saddam was a bad dude but had nothing to do with 9.11. That was bin Laden and SA.
