Trump erupts: Macron said that Europe build its own military in order to protect itself from the US

British MP Nicholas Soames adds that Trump is 'not fit to represent his great country,' after U.S. president skips a WWI memorial in France due to rain

British Conservative MP Nicholas Soames, former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill's grandson, ripped U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday for canceling a planned visit to a World War I commemoration event in France due to bad weather.

"They died with their face to the foe and that pathetic inadequate @realDonaldTrump couldn’t even defy the weather to pay his respects to The Fallen," Soames wrote on Twitter.

Soames added Trump is "not fit to represent his great country."

Macron’s Trump containment operation - "PARIS — Donald Trump is no longer allowed to steal the show — at least not when it’s being held on Europe’s stage.

At a G7 summit in Quebec last June, and a NATO leaders’ summit in Brussels a month later, the American president grabbed the limelight and disrupted proceedings, leaving his counterparts reeling and struggling to contain any damage.

But European leaders have wised up. French President Emmanuel Macron showed at commemorations in Paris for the World War I Armistice centenary over the weekend that there is a new approach. No longer will Europe simply appease and contain Trump, as they did for the first 18 months of his unorthodox presidency. Instead, they are now prepared to push back and isolate Trump if necessary, denying him the attention he craves."

It said the bad weather grounded the presidential helicopter and cited security concerns in hastily arranging a motorcade for the two-hour drive east of Paris.
So the real reason is not at the beginning; whoda thunk it???!!

The determination to ground Marine One, the president's helicopter, due to bad weather is made by the Marine Corps and the White House Military Office, which then presents the recommendation to the White House in collaboration with the Secret Service, according to a Secret Service official.

White House defends missing ceremony

So the HATE AMERICA lobby is in full force over a nonsensae...again!

France is not looking at Trump. France is looking at the leftward drift of the US. France is looking at a future with a communist United States.

That would make sense, but if that was what macron was thinking, he would be embracing Trump as a push back against that.

I am shocked, SHOCKED I tell, you, to find the media liberals lying.

"Just returned from France where much was accomplished in my meetings with World Leaders. Never easy bringing up the fact that the U.S. must be treated fairly, which it hasn’t, on both Military and Trade. We pay for LARGE portions of other countries military protection, hundreds of billions of dollars, for the great privilege of losing hundreds of billions of dollars with these same countries on trade. I told them that this situation cannot continue - It is, and always has been, ridiculously unfair to the United States. Massive amounts of money spent on protecting other countries, and we get nothing but Trade Deficits and Losses. It is time that these very rich countries either pay the United States for its great military protection, or protect themselves...and Trade must be made FREE and FAIR!" - President Trump

Was it not the US that saved their asses in WWII.

When the Muslims start to take over and Russia attacks, these words will be remembered.

It was the USA military that saved them in ww2, but they sure didn't do it with sissy boy draft dodgers like trump, bolton, and bush jr. helping them.

And that is a good leader, a brave one. Perhaps a Great one.

Perhaps. But the fact remains. We've been better allies to them, then they have to US, and Trump is right to call them on it.

It's funny because Trump's been a rude arrogant fuck to Europe, then a European says something that Trump doesn't like and he's off the wall about how insulting the Europeans are.

The problem is Trump doesn't seem to realize just how badly he's damaged the relationship between the EU and US. He thinks it's the same as it was 2 years ago. That's how dumb he is.
Are you American ? Trump make American first not like all the other President before him why would the American people paid for the rest of the world and get Nothing in return ?

Trump doesn't make America first. Doing stupid shit and annoying your allies doesn't make the US better, does it?

That you think stupidity is "America first" is rather depressing, don't you?
Yes, he does and the allies like you said should respect Trump and the American people but you think that people respect the value of the American well you are wrong here in France people not all but a lot don't respect anything, i just have it Look how some asshole act on is show in France : he said for a welcome in France "Go fuck yourself"

Posted on the social networks, the sequence received a mixed reception between those who applauded the audacity of the presenter and those who did not understand the why of this initiative. Three hours later, Air Force One landed at Orly and just on the tarmac, Donald Trump denounced in a tweet the words "very insulting" Emmanuel Macron on the creation of a European army. He had not yet reacted to those of Yann Barthès who, because of his love for social networks and his tense relations with the press (this week again, he withdrew the accreditation of a CNN journalist at the White House), should not remain strangers for too long.

VIDÉO - "Go fuck yourself" : le message de bienvenue osé de Yann Barthès à Donald Trump

Your attitude is the exact problem America has. Europe should respect the US even when the US doesn't respect anyone back.
You Don't seem to know a lot about Europe, Europe want to make trouble for the USA that why the Euro was create and Europe is Not doing well not like the USA

Is that so.

Yeah, I'd suppose you know more about Europe than someone who's lived in four European countries.

No, the EU doesn't want to create trouble for the US. The EU has a border with Russia. It wants to be with the US to protect "the free world" etc etc.

Trump is the one causing all the problems.

The whole NATO thing where European countries aren't spending enough money is so much bullshit it's ridiculous.

The US spending money on invading IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN is not spending money on NATO, no matter how many times Trump claims it is.

Yup, but hopefully we won’t leave several thousand American graves over there for those fucks to shit on. Fuck France. Useless country

Trumpublicans will believe anything they are told.

"By mentioning the U.S., Macron was specifically referring to Trump’s withdrawal from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, as well as more broadly to Trump’s pullback from transatlantic cooperation, including on the Iran nuclear deal."

Macron wants Europe to buy its own military hardware

"Macron clarified his point to say that he very much wants to see European allies not only spend more but to develop their own autonomous military capabilities and to buy European-made materials. France just happens also to have one of Europe’s biggest defense manufacturing industries."

Quote by Colin Powell:
When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by
the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
empire building by George Bush.
He answered by saying that, “Over the years, the United States has sent
many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom
beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in
return is enough to bury those that did not return.”
It became very quiet in the room.

What freedoms did we bring to the Iraqi people? Besides liberating Iraqi oil fields for the international market, we liberated no one.

You use the term "we" as though you were an actual American.

Your posts belie that inference.

Even for you that's was a quick retreat to a petty, nonsensical attempt to insult me.

Bad day?

Eh, a good chunk of France were Nazi allies Vichy France.

Save from what?????
Fascism????
Capitalism is probably worse.

I'll admit Nazism should have been defeated, but.... Mussolini was a joke as a "Villain"
I mean FDR, Truman, LBJ, W Bush, and Abe Lincoln all killed probably not just more, but far more than Mussolini.
.

Fascism is actually more viable than Capitalism.

I'm an anti- German / anti-Nazi, Polish Fascist.

i call it World War Trump!

France is a sellout. Never a ducking thank you from those people that they are not speaking German...... just arrogance. Never listen to what France says about US.

Without France the U.S.A would be part of the British Empire.

As for France, it would have probably become a Soviet vassal, without the U.S.A.

I don't think Nazi Germany would have prevailed, but the Soviets probably would have rolled into Berlin none the less without the U.S.A.

Just the Soviets would have taken longer, perhaps say 2 years later they would have had Soviets rolling into Berlin, before rolling into France months later.
