Trump has really exposed the lack of logic behind presidential power

The [Republican] Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...rms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171

ABC reports, "Sens. Mark Warner, D-Va., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., the chair and vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, respectively, have sent a private letter to top intelligence officials and the Justice Department asking for more information from last week's unprecedented FBI search at Mar-a-Lago.

"The letter, sent Sunday to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines and Attorney General Merrick Garland, specifically seeks the classified documents that were seized and an analysis of any national security threat posed by the mishandling of the information.

"The request comes after it was revealed that 11 sets of classified information were seized from former President Donald Trump's Florida resort, including confidential, secret, and top-secret documents."

"The Senate Intelligence Committee is charged with overseeing counterintelligence matters, including the handling and mishandling of classified information, which appears to be at the core of the search of Mar a Lago," said Rachel Cohen, a spokesperson for Warner.

Recalling that Vladimir Putin wanted this man to become our next President in 2016, Trump has offered many lies and threats concerning the legal FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago home, but he has never explained why he removed classified documents from the White House.

Why would a president without having to have political, government or military experience of any kind be able to be the head decision maker of those departments.
Huh? Political experience? Who is born with that? You gain political experience by being a politician!
And government experience? That is why you have a cabinet of advisers.
But military experience? It helps, a la Eisenhower, but again, that is what you have military advisers for.

Example, a president shouldnt be able to declassify any kind of information without having some years of experience with it?
The president is the commander in chief, not a boy scout. Trump had four years experience with those documents.

Your shining example of 50 years of political and government experience is sitting in the White House right now. He wouldn't know a classified document from a comic book. So what else have you got?
With all do respect, sarcastic remarks is how we got what we have today. It would help us all to stop.

That person should be a QUALIFIED president
And you are the arbitor of who is and isn’t “qualified”? The only “qualifications“ for President are in the Constitution and getting enough votes to get elected. All the BS outside of that is just partisan hackery. Remember how “unqualified“ Obama was? Trump was “unqualified” just like Obama was, disliked by one side of the aisle.

When Hillary had over 100 classified documents on a private server, I dont recall this response.

DOJ is corrupt as fuck.

I'm guessing the forefathers trusted the voters to be logical, and only pick candidates who were qualified. They probably didn't imagine a reality show host with no qualifications whatsoever as being electable to the presidency.
What they didn't envision were professional politicians like the Bush's and Biden even existing. They expected people to get elected by their neighbors, go to DC, serve one term and return home to run their farms or businesses.

So dumb he stole 2016?

Hmmmmm

Trump claimed that 3 to 5 million illegals voted in 2016. Remember? Right after he took office he blurted out classified information to the Russian visitors exposing Israeli intelligence assets. He wanted them to like him and be impressed with how clever he is.

Trump is an insufferable liar. Don't believe anything he says. He wants headlines . There will another outrageous lie every news cycle.

surada

Name a President who was actually unqualified to hold the office. And you not liking the things they did doesnt count as a disqualifier or we've had zero Presidents who were qualified as there's always someone doesn't like/hates the POTUS. I'll wait.
