Trump Hits A Bullet With A Bullet...

One thing we know....if Trump gets into a war his own relatives won't go anywhere around it. He personally received four deferments during Vietnam.......he had a bad heel. My wife's only brother was killed over there in that fiasco.

2S deferments were given out 1 year at a time. And Vietnam wasn't a "fiasco"...we had it won until you shitheads gave up on us.
We had what won, exactly?

The Tet Offensive? The NVA could have been destroyed if we didn't have LBJ and McNamara playing soldier/politician with other people's lives. As for the Viet Cong, they were insurgents in a civil war that we had no business being involved in. All we should have done is seal off the borders of South Viet Nam from outside intervention and let them fight it out.

Hype and nothing less. Will that system stop a hundred missiles?

Try thinking before posting. An anti-missile program does not require 100% accuracy to be an effective deterrent. All it has to do is make an adversary uncertain of the effects of an attack, but certain of a devastating response if it attempts one.

What's amazing is how we've finally acquired accuracy.....the old Patriot system used to protect Israel from Saddam's SCUDs, exploded in the vicinity of an incoming missile and threw off it's guidance system but didn't destroy it. And these things are flying much faster than a bullet.

After the second phase of Tet in '68, there was NOTHING between us and Hanoi up Highway 1. LBJ lost his nerve thanks to shithead liars like Walter Cronkite telling the country we'd lost that effort. I know....27 Air-Assault hops in 4 months and by the end NVA were running for their lives
The NVA were never a threat to US national security in the first place. Do you think the USA should have colonized Vietnam? Or what? Did we have some sort of rice shortage in the USA or something?
It was no different from Guadalcanal. Wouldn't you say, if you could say so about Vietnam, that some island in the middle of nowhere was no threat to national security? Both places were part of an imperial threat to us.
Neither were a threat to the USA.
Same With Hitler's Attack on Russia

I can understand why you don't think Japan was a threat to North America, but the unnecessary and trigger-happy attack on Pearl Harbor proved that they were immature and would have attacked us preemptively no matter how isolationist we became.
