Support is a difficult word in these circumstances. There are people who feel closer to Islam than they do to the West. There are people who are angry the UK and US went to war in Iraq. There are lots of conflicting issues at hand, and if you ask a question one way you might get one answer, answer it in a different way and you'll get a different answer.

50% of Muslims in the UK don't even go to mosques. 300,000 might be a figure of people who believe that ISIS is different to how it's portrayed in the media. It's hard to tell exactly what they're thinking. Some people go off to fight for ISIS, why? Again, hard to know. Do they really understand what they're getting into, or do they have a view of what it should be, fighting Jihad, and not really understanding the reality.
