The Donald’s supporters adore him for his candor. In his words they hear their own hatred and bigotry towards the poor, the disabled, the elderly, Muslims (actually all non-Christians), women, all people of color, immigrants (both legal and illegal), foreigners, and all others who do not fit into their warped vision of a perfect society.



The GOP leaders and architects of conservative policy can take full credit for establishing this uncivilized mindset in their lily-white voting base. They worked for decades convincing the clueless right-wingers such hatred and intolerance are some of the best virtues of conservatism.



However, during those same decades the Republican leaders’ efforts were too subtle to take their boorish political philosophy mainstream and gain acceptance.



But Donald Trump has done what the vast majority of Republicans have been unable to do since the late 1960s, offer complete and total public validation to the racists, bigots, xenophobes, misogynists, right wing Christians, and most other very-white Americans who call themselves conservatives.



Only Donald Trump has shown the courage lacked by nearly all other Republican politicians in loudly stating the hatred he and other conservative truly feel for their fellow Americans and the people of the world.



Now, some of you right-wingers will feel the need to say that the Democrats were the racists and hate-mongers before the Civil Rights Act of 1964, but you will ignore other historic facts that shoot down your current arguments. The conservatives’ also like to brag how the GOP is the Party of Lincoln (maybe long, long ago, but not any more). You folks are either blind to the changes of the last half century, or too stupid to understand them.
