How could that ever possibly be a crime?

And if one manipulated the payments to hide them, that also is obviously legal.
In fact, they should be tax exempt or use campaign funds if necessary.
There is just no possible way I can imagine where it was legal to jail Cohen.

Trump is an ex-president and all ex-presidents are supposed to retain all their classified docs.
All NARA and the PRA did was to also ensure that the FOIA also gets access to some of these presidential docs.
And that is irrelevant, since there were no classified docs at Mar-a-Lago that were not also at dozens of other places that allowed FOIA access.

Read the classified doc laws.
The all are actually presidential executive orders, and specifically exempt all presidents.
So Trump could legally give all the classified docs to anyone he wanted, including himself.
