Trump's compromise solution seems reasonable. Why are Democrats opposing this?

Yes, he did. You're obviously not paying attention to the news.

No. I’m paying attention to the quote from the OIC. It doesn’t say Buzzfeed was lying. You should inform yourself.
Buzzfeed printed an untrue story. That's lying. What would you call it?

Buzzfeed didn’t print an untrue story. The OIC had an issue with the conclusions based on congressional testimony. Buzzfeed states that it’s conclusions actually were not based solely on that testimony.

Buzzfeed states that it’s conclusions actually were not based solely on that testimony.

Buzzfeed is, as usual, covering their asses for posting yet another debunked piece of bullshit.

Maybe.

I think it is very telling that of all of the stories written about Mueller since the OIC was opened, he chose this story from an obscure dot com to respond to; I mean, if the WaPo posts something or the NYT posts something, people are usually more inclined to believe it (Trumpians don’t count). That he broke his famous silence over THIS, to me, means there is something there.

Time will tell.

^^^^^

NO, NO

I dont' believe it.

it CAN'T be a LIE.

Awwww. He's so reasonably promising to let the hostages go if he gets what he wants.

What a guy!

Hostages? Is that what Clinton was during his shutdown?

If the Dems want the government to reopen, they need to pass a bill that a Republican majority Senate and President Trump will sign off on. Simple as that.
Quit acting as if this how the things are supposed to work or that there is anything reasonable about what Trump is demanding.

That's a fancy way of saying Buzzfeed printed an untrue story. Which means it lied. All the major news sources have retracted. Why are you defending sloppy journalism?

Not in the least.

What it means is that Buzzfeed posted a story based on several things including congressional testimony. The OIC said that that the conclusions based on the testimony are inaccurate. Both can be true simultaneously.
You sound like Dan Rather defending his story about Bush ditching National Guard Service, based on forged records. He got fired, by the way.
Of course what he said was true... Poor guy was set up. A tidal wave of BS GOP propaganda wins again. People are starting to figure that out.

Democrats want no resolution or progress until they have a Democrat president. It's called resistance for the sake of resistance.

What part is unreasonable?

If Democrats really cared about the Dreamers, they would jump at the chance to compromise.

Turns out, Democrats don't really care about the Dreamers at all, any more than they care about unborn babies.

In a couple more days Trump could enact the emergency powers act and RIF a bunch of useless government employees at the same time. I am not saying all government employees are useless but many of them are and those are the RIF canidates. His campaign promises included a reduction in the size of government along with a wall. A twofer.

He touched on lots of things . What do you think his BASE of Deplorables thinks BRook ??
This real American combat vet (aka deplorable) stands by President Trump.
------------------------------------------ thanks for the announcement but my point is that i don't think that ALL of TRUMPS Base do stand with the President . But we will see 'Bush' .

The shutdown is unreasonable. Why does Trump not restart the government and then enter into negotiations for a wall? The answer is obvious, he cannot get what he wants by the constitutionally mandated government procedures. The government is not supposed to work this way and he cannot be allowed to succeed.

All he's asking for is $5 billion to bolster border security, which is a very tiny percentage of the national budget.

What's the problem, Democrats?

The problem is that the Democrats don't want border security. Why? Cuz most of those illegals coming across the southern borders will mostly be future Dem voters. And of course Trump wants it, so they're against it.

Democrats are ideological zealots for Identity Politics and Post-Modernism. They do not understand compromise - to them it means they only get 80% of what they want but you still dont get a damned concession from them.

Trump offers immigration compromise to end partial shutdown; Dems cool to offer

But Trump’s proposal was quickly swatted down by Democrats. Indeed, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi came out ahead of the announcement to say the anticipated proposal comprised a "compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good-faith effort to restore certainty to people’s lives."

"It is unlikely that any one of these provisions alone would pass the House, and taken together, they are a non-starter," she said in a statement. "For one thing, this proposal does not include the permanent solution for the Dreamers and TPS recipients that our country needs and supports."

The partial government shutdown, which has dragged on for 29 days and led to hundreds of thousands of federal workers being furloughed or working without pay, is the result of Republicans and Democrats being unable to come to an agreement over Trump’s demand for wall funding. Trump has said he will not sign a bill to open the government unless it includes that funding, while Democrats have refused to consider the $5.7 billion figure, instead offering $1.3 billion for general border security.

All last year, Trump was patient and took congressional leaders on their word that they will give him his funding with the next budget negotiation, and then the next.

Well the folks that want a Wall are out of patience, out of trust and they will die on this hill if necessary, trust me.

The funny thing is that the Dims think the optics on all of this is favorable to them, lol.

WTF?

The POTUS refusing to sign a bill *is* part of our constitutionally mandated government procedures, nitwit.

----------------------------------- says YOU , Course if shutting down Gov was illegal we wouldn't be into day 28 or 29 of a government shutdown Occupied .

Remember how the Democrats backstabbed George H.W. Bush after he relented and increased taxes?

That's why.
