Trump's compromise solution seems reasonable. Why are Democrats opposing this?

Trump is trying to be reasonable. Next he will enact his emergency powers act and build the wall with the military. The dems stand to lose any leverage to enact any DACA reforms plus all those civilian jobs that would go to union members. Trump would prefer to build with civilian contractors but chuck and nancy are going to force his hand.

Democrats will have to explain to the American people why they won't agree to Trump's reasonable plan.
Because right now hate overrides compromise they will reject anything that gives Trump a win even if it gives them one as well this would end the shutdown and both sides get something they want there is no reason this shouldn't pass both chambers of Congress quickly but I will be shocked if it does.

It seems pretty clear that the dems could get Daca for the wall if they wanted it. I don't think it would be a tough negotiation. The dems are playing a dangerous game after abandoning the working class and telling blacks that they aren't as important anymore. They have all their eggs in one basket, and they are going to tell legal Hispanics to F themselves so that they can keep their illegal pipeline open. What makes it worse is that border patrol says they actually need the wall. So dems are saying F you to legal Hispanics and the border patrol to try to force a favorable demographic change.

Yes, everyone. RW nutbags hate identity politics. Believe me.

Your point is what? How is it identity politics to point out the truth. The dems are flooding the country with future left leaning voters. I'm not racist for saying it, you are racist for wanting it.

I think Mr Mueller will feel differently
You mean the same Mr. Mueller who said Buzzfeed lied about Trump?

He is still your personal savior?

Mr. Mueller said no such thing.
Yes, he did. Check the news, its all over the place that Buzzfeed lied, and CNN and all the networks repeated the lie.

Mr. Mueller did not say anything about Buzzfeed lying.
Yes, he did. You're obviously not paying attention to the news.

No. I’m paying attention to the quote from the OIC. It doesn’t say Buzzfeed was lying. You should inform yourself.

The wall is stupid and will not work, dumbass dupes. There is no crisis, the number of people coming in is the lowest it's been in years. A couple of thousand in a caravan is nothing. Pass a national ID card and end this GOP scam....

Buzzfeed printed an untrue story. That's lying. What would you call it?

While you're at it, legalize pot, extend NAFTA to Central America at least, and do something for Latin America besides sabotaging needed socialism, that is fair capitalism with a good safety net, not communism, brainwashed functional morons.

Democrats should be lauded by fiscal conservatives for taking a stand against republicans endless spending.

Buzzfeed didn’t print an untrue story. The OIC had an issue with the conclusions based on congressional testimony. Buzzfeed states that it’s conclusions actually were not based solely on that testimony.

I think that as soon as Trump uses his emergencies powers to build the wall, the Dems will run not walk to a progressive lib/dem federal judge who will issue a national injunction against it, thus tying up the issue in the courts. My guess is, he'd eventually win that case but in the meantime we don't get a wall but we do get hundreds of thousands of illegals in caravan after caravan coming into the US. Win-win for the Dems. How that would play out in 2020 is unknown though, might help Trump get re-elected. It ain't like the Dems have this charismatic person ready to toe to toe with him, but a lotta things can happen between now and then.

That's a fancy way of saying Buzzfeed printed an untrue story. Which means it lied. All the major news sources have retracted. Why are you defending sloppy journalism?

Buzzfeed is, as usual, covering their asses for posting yet another debunked piece of bullshit.

Why all this when he just needs to use his awesome negotiating skills to get Mexico to pay for his wall?

Maybe.

I think it is very telling that of all of the stories written about Mueller since the OIC was opened, he chose this story from an obscure dot com to respond to; I mean, if the WaPo posts something or the NYT posts something, people are usually more inclined to believe it (Trumpians don’t count). That he broke his famous silence over THIS, to me, means there is something there.

Time will tell.

Not in the least.

What it means is that Buzzfeed posted a story based on several things including congressional testimony. The OIC said that that the conclusions based on the testimony are inaccurate. Both can be true simultaneously.

It wasn't an obscure story, asswipe, it was being shouted from the rooftops by the entire mainstream media. Maybe Mueller felt the story was false and had to be shut down. You should be praising him for having some decency.

You sound like Dan Rather defending his story about Bush ditching National Guard Service, based on forged records. He got fired, by the way.

Awwww. He's so reasonably promising to let the hostages go if he gets what he wants.

What a guy!

Hostages? Is that what Clinton was during his shutdown?

If the Dems want the government to reopen, they need to pass a bill that a Republican majority Senate and President Trump will sign off on. Simple as that.
