FEMA is not a socialist project. FEMA uses private contractors to do the work. Property owners who get FEMA loans to rebuild use their own choice of contractors. While FEMA may provide temporary assistance no one is obligated to use that assistance. They may pay for their own housing and food.

Socialists try to muddy up the facts in order to promote socialism. If you want police, that's socislist. The government built roads, more socialism. Not even close. We really need to bring back education to make sure coming generations know what socialism is. Then we can stamp out each little tendril as it sprouts.

It's quite possible she would and should. Picking up the check for a new double wide would mean she got a low interest loan. She would choose her doublewide out of dozens of choices. If it were socialism, she wouldn't be picking up a check. FEMA would own that doublewide and the land it sits on. She would be assigned housing and might have to share it with others so assigned.
