A car bomb has exploded in the Turkish capital Ankara, killing 32 people and wounding more than 100, the health ministry has said.

The explosion happened in Guven Park in the Kizilay district, a key transport hub and commercial area.

Several vehicles at the scene were reduced to burnt-out wrecks, including at least one bus.

Last month, a bomb attack on a military convoy in Ankara killed 28 people and wounded dozens more.

The Hurriyet newspaper said the latest blast happened at about 18:40 (16:40 GMT) and the area was evacuated in case of a second attack. Many ambulances were at the scene, it added.

No group has yet claimed the attack. However, a security official told Reuters news agency that initial findings suggested it was the work of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) or an affiliated group.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said terror groups were targeting civilians because they were losing their struggle against Turkish security forces.

He said such attacks "increase our determination to fight terrorism".

i like kurds.. i have kurds friend and family.we have million kurds in iran.we believe they are aryan like us
but you always see this pictures for kurds
.nice happy woman without hijab .secular moslem or .....pro west ....

but its not 100% reality.

we have bad kurds too in middle east.for example we still see stoning woman and barbaric ... in kurds village .
also we have terrorist and dangerous kurds group too

bad kurds----so true----some are VERY ISLAMIC. ----such a tragedy.
There are also some jewish kurds-----a few---living up there in the hills in
parts of Iran which are isolated and in the KURDISH MOUNTAINS---having
escaped the filth of ARABIZATION that has afflicted MOST OF IRAN.
The one lady I know is an excellent cook. Kinda an Iranian/Iraqi/kosher---

My first thought was it would be scary for an Irishman to have nukes but then I remembered my grandfather commanded a missile silo while in the Air Force. That turned out OK. Of course he only had one key and it takes two so that might have prevented the Soviets from being vaporized

Knowing my grandfather yes two keys was prudent
