A jury verdict is not a final judgment until the moment of sentencing which now may never occur.

Until the day he is sentenced, Trump is not a convicted felon and now it looks like he may not be sentenced at all.

Judge Merchan acknowledges this in his latest order, that sentencing might not even be required in this case.

Again, final judgement is not entered until the point of sentencing.

Defamation lawsuits incoming?

I did not know this--interesting. To be fair though, it seems a little like the difference between "betrothed" in the Bible and "married". Betrothed was like engagement + and required a divorce to dissolve, but was technically not yet a marriage.

But it does seem that if Merchan decides he can't go forward with sentencing, Trump loses the "convicted felon" label.....

YOu kids have already posted that lie several times.

He was convicted, deal with it.

I expect that there will be plenty of "legal experts" that disagree with argument that one has to be sentenced before being branded as a convicted felon.

Trump is leading in the polls because most recognized it's a unjust conviction. The left is using lawfare against Trump, but it's only making Trump stronger. Trump should continue wearing the label of convicted felon as a badge of honor.

LOL....Well if it was a dem they would be saying that the person was a "justice-impacted individual". ;)

Still better than our current sitting POTUS running for another term that was determined not to be mentally competent to stand trial.

bless yer heart! donny was convicted - because he was found guilty by a jury of his peers on all 34 counts.

he is a indeed a felon, because the judge accepted the verdict by a 12 person jury..

Oh, I think they're they're going to try to imprison Trump over these trumped-up charges.

I see no reason why they wouldn't, but they'll pay a serious price for their corruption.

This is straight up Democrat election interference perverting the judicial system.

Not enough people give a rat's ass about that show trial anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Your grasp of nuances in the English language is hilarious.

defamation lawsuits? :auiqs.jpg:

"sentencing might not even be required," for the convicted felon.

Witness: The raunchy stench of desperation emanating out of the Magadonian cult-of-personality surrounding Mr. Trump.

So many threads pushing this imbecility. Why? Hmm...

That is true. Though the laws vary from state to state, generally, you are not actually CONVICTED of a crime until you are sentenced by the judge after the trial.

Trump has never been sentenced and now will not be until at least September at best, if that.

Therefore, Trump is NOT a convicted felon and once again, the democrats have been lying (or just stupid or both).

Even the dopes pretending that Trump is a “convicted felon” know, instinctively, that the weaponized court system was used to stop the Marxist Democrat's political opponent. One would have to be intentionally blind not to see it.

i'm thinking house arrest for some very short period of time.

in NYC - not mar a lago.

No matter how many times Trump is not a convicted felon is explained to brain damaged democrats, they will never understand. Convicted felon has become their binky.
