1. How did we become dependent on clothing for protection from the elements?

2. How did we become dependent on fire to make food more digestible?

Any thoughts?

These are thoroughly asked questions, from my days as an Anthro major.

It doesn't take a genius to cover up with a bear skin when it's cold, and people smart enough to do that, survived the ice age, and others froze.

If you've created a fire to keep warm, and you're choking down some rotten meat, it is only a matter of time before some dumb ass holds it over the fire. After that...it is tastier, and less stinky...then it caught on

Does it take a genius to answer my questions? Perhaps further clarification is needed:

1. Did humans lose their "fur" because they had clothing, or vice versa?

2. Did humans lose their ability to digest raw meat because of fire or vice versa?

I would like to add that cooked food lasts longer and its more portable.
