My opinion. They got scared. Biden ordered Bagram evacuated in the middle of the night. When people came to work in the morning the base was empty except for taliban. The taliban was opening the prison on Bagram releasing all the prisoners. Having no weapons, all weapons now in the hands of taliban or isis, the Afghans ran in sheer terror.
