A modern convention is supposed to do two things. 1) The candidate has a opportunity to "re-image" him/herself to the electorate at large. One maybe two images will stick. But, Crazy Uncle Clint showed up. Most famously was the 64 election, where Nixon really did out debate JFK on JFK's fabricated missile gap, but no one remembers that, and what the remember was Nixon looked shady and JFK shiny ... and JFK used a special camera lens to do it.

Melania is beautiful, smart and an immigrant success story in her own right. Her message was to be "my husband can change his tone" A tad bit ironic that she plagerized the wife (whom Donald has called not of the same values) of a President (whom Donald still won't admit is an American)
