UN braces for action...

The UN announced that the use of chemical weapons by Isis in Mosul could represent a violation of international law...and be a war crime. Beyond that, they stood paralyzed much like Foo and his apoplexy over Ws wmd allegations. In the meantime...Obabbles strategic patience seems to still rule the day.

What about beheadings? Are they violations of international law?

What about mass killings? Are they violations of international law?

Does anybody think ISIS gives a ratz azz ??

Taking their cue from Obama, I guess. In 2012, while Obama's stated policy was that Assad must go and Assad was blowing up civilians by the thousands everyday, Obama stated he would take no action at all if Assad made a gesture toward giving up his chemical weapons. Far more people are killed everyday by Assad's and Russia's air campaigns than are killed by ISIS, yet nothing constructive from the US or the UN to stop the slaughter.

Are they going to draw a "red line" for these outlaw murderers?

This.

ISIS consist of radical militants - the law is irrelevant to them. I do not see what this UN announcement means. All the proclamations and announcements in the world are not going to do a damn thing when it comes to terrorism.

so what is the mighty security council going to do about it?....
France will say the fact that ISIS is using chemical weapons makes it more imperative than ever to condemn Israelis building homes, schools and businesses in Judea and Samaria; there will be a debate, a resolution which the new reformed US governent will veto, and the EU will say, see, the Trump administration has made it impossible to end the fighting in Syria.

The only thing to do is to kill them...along with their family and goat.

They'll threaten to send in the blue helmet brigade.

. Russia might like that in order to be relieved of it's duties there. That place has become a quagmire, and if watch the war videos it is amazing how it has become virtually a no man's land to just go there, and to fight in, and then to die there for no good reasons left if not careful.

This declaration means little to nothing unless it is followed with action, consequences for ISIS. If there is no response or concern, than this is all a waste of ink. Part and parcel of a politicized UN that allows some of the worst abusers on earth to be members of the UN Human Rights Council. Their credibility and integrity has been taking damage for decades now. It's become nothing more than a pretentious Country Club for politicians.

Making such a statement to terrorists in some belief it means anything is akin to believing gang members will be worried that the law is changing to make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to obtain a gun permit. In other words, it's business as usual.

Reckon they are trying to prove to Trump that they do matter ?

A news banner on Fox earlier this evening stated that about 150 people have starved to death in Yemen the past 48 hours. There is no excuse for this and the UN needs to activate an army and root ISIS out of every country. If it means more boots on the ground, that is the only way to rid the earth of this evil. And take no prisoners, just exterminate the bastards.

The blue helmets bought up all the French WW2 rifles....never fired, only dropped once.
