Union: Obama threw workers 'under the bus' in Keystone decision

The tax cut was actually across the board for all Americans and removed millions of Moon Bats from having to pay any income tax.

The rich didn't need a tax cut. They have plenty of money I know this is hard for you to believe, but the rich are going to be just fine.

The thing that Moon Bats hate the most is an across the board tax hike where everybody is given a prorated decrease in the relative to the amount they pay in.

However, the most debt that was accrued during Bush's administration was the last years when that filthy ass Democrat Congress voted for the deficit budgets in 2007 and 2008.

That's simply not true.

Another whining ass Union surprised that they are getting it up the butt by a democrat. What is wrong with them? The democrats have promised them so much yet given them so little, except legislation that actually takes away Union power. They supported Obamacare until they realized how it hurt their union. But I will just bet they don't blame Obama or cut a deal with him.

But with this, like with Clinton's "free" trade deals the Unions will do NOTHING but whine. I can't imagine what would have happened with Unions if all they did was whine at Homestead. Of course what the Union is saying is right, but what will they really do about it? Support Mrs. Clinton? Of course they will.

You want to know why the demise of Unions? This is why, they do it to themselves.

The main union for construction workers is accusing President Obama of throwing them “under the bus” by rejecting the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

Union: Obama threw workers 'under the bus' in Keystone decision

The Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) is one of the few labor unions that broke with the majority of Democrats and supported the project, which Obama rejected Friday after a seven-year review.

“We are dismayed and disgusted that the President has once again thrown the members of LIUNA, and other hard-working, blue-collar workers under the bus of his vaunted ‘legacy,’ while doing little or nothing to make a real difference in global climate change,” Terry O’Sullivan, the union’s general president, said in a statement. “His actions are shameful.”
The group’s statement cited a State Department report that Keystone could reduce greenhouse gas emissions when compared with oil transportation by rail.

“But facts apparently mean as little to the president as the construction jobs he repeatedly derided as insignificant because they are ‘temporary,’ ” O’Sullivan said. “Ironically, the very temporary nature of the president’s own job seems to be fueling a legacy of doing permanent harm to middle- and working class families.”

So who do unions turn to, republicans? Sure. I'm glad the pipeline won't happen. After it's built, everybody out of work, and we're stuck with the pollution from a product that's destined to be sent to other countries.

That is greedy socialist garbage you Moon Bat.

Every American "needs" a tax cut. The combined (Federal, State and Local) cost of government in this country is almost 40% of the GDP and that cost is killing our economy and sending jobs overseas. High taxes stifling our economy one of the main reasons we have 93 Million Americans not working, the lowest workforce participation in several decades. There are simply not enough jobs to go around because the government is taking so much money out of the productive economy.

If you want to not have debt you simply don't spend as much money. It is not rocket science.

The concept of spending less money so you don't have to go in debt is the fiscal responsible thing to do but is always confusing to Moon Bats.

That scumbag Clinton had a chance to put an end to debt by signing the item of Newt's Contract for America that called for a balanced budget but the sonofabitch didn't do it.

If you think that the government needs more money then simply send them more each year when you do your taxes. Nobody will stop you. The government will take your money. Don't be greedy.

If you think that the money that you make is better spent by corrupt government assholes (elected by special interest groups) than yourself then give them your money. Put your money where your mouth is.

Create a third party.

but if they did go to Republicans at least they would know what they are getting and not a pack of broken promises from democrats. At least they would be showing some integrity.

Pollution from a pipeline? How does that work?

Republicans have blocked 100,000 infrastructure jobs that actually help Americans......

What is LIUNAs position on that?

Uh, guy, 40% of those services need to be performed, they are a key part of the economy.

And if you think that we are going to ever compete with a guy in a third world country making $1.00 a day by reducing taxes on rich people or slashing government services, then you are truly a delusional retard.

93 Million Americans aren't working because a lot of them are Children and Retired people, but, please, please, please don't let that stop your rant.

Lets hope more of these union workers see the leftist. environmentalist, nutjobs for what they are. Anti- growth, anti-American, and anti-American worker...

The Laborers’ International Union of North America said that Obama’s bow to environmentalists meant that he was more concerned with “elitists” and “his legacy” than with helping workers provide for their families.

“President Obama today demonstrated that he cares more about kowtowing to green-collar elitists than he does about creating desperately needed, family-supporting, blue-collar jobs,”said Terry O’Sullivan, the union’s president, in a release following Obama’s Friday announcement.

Obama joined Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry at the White House to announce that the administration would not approve the long-awaited TransCanada pipeline. He said that the pipeline and fossil fuel development and transportation “would not serve the national interest of the United States,” while claiming that the State Department was ultimately responsible for the decision. He also downplayed the economic benefits of the multi-billion-dollar project.

“For years, the Keystone Pipeline has occupied what I, frankly, consider an overinflated role in our political discourse. It became a symbol too often used as a campaign cudgel by both parties rather than a serious policy matter,” Obama said. “The pipeline would not make a meaningful long-term contribution to our economy.”

O’Sullivan said that the White House’s approach to the approval process was one of “cowardly delay.” He disputed the contention that Keystone was environmentally harmful, citing a 2014 State Department report that found not approving the pipeline would increase emissions by up to 42 percent.

The President Has Thrown Working People Under the Bus of His Legacy

Washington, D.C. (November 6, 2015) – Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA – the Laborers’ International Union of North America – made the following statement today regarding the Administration’s decision on the Keystone XL Pipeline.

President Obama today demonstrated that he cares more about kowtowing to green-collar elitists than he does about creating desperately needed, family-supporting, blue-collar jobs. After a seven-year circus of cowardly delay, the President’s decision to kill the Keystone XL Pipeline is just one more indication of an utter disdain and disregard for salt-of-the-earth, middle-class working Americans. The politics he has played with their lives and livelihoods is far dirtier than oil carried by any pipeline in the world, and the cynical manipulation of the approval process has made a mockery of regulatory institutions and government itself.

Nobody has any problem with the funding of minimal government services like defense, police, courts etc.

What drives up the debt and the astronomical cost of government is the filthy ass welfare state, subsidies, bailouts and entitlements, That includes foreign welfare. The transfer of money from the people that earn it to the lowlifes that didn't earn it.

The greatest economic growth our country had since the end of WWII has been when the cost of government is half of what it is now.

Stop being an envious greedy Moon Bat. The rich in this country pays 80% of that trillion dollar a year in income tax while 50% of Americans pay nothing. When is enough going to be enough for you greedy Moon Bats?

We are not in the terrible shape we are in now because we don't tax enough. We are in debt and in trouble because the fucking government spends too much.
