IMHO, they are among the gutsiest men and women in our uniformed services. I know they were involved with 'Nam and the Gulf War. But, they're still there?

On August 26 the U.S. Coast Guard fired at an Iranian fishing boat when the boat pointed a machine gun at the Coast Guard vessel.

Just when you think you've seen it all.......only under Obama would we have a coast guard vessel in the Persian Gulf!! What else can you do but laugh?:2up:
We've had USCG vessels all over the world in just about every conflict we've been involved with. One should check out their history and you would be astonished at their service, bravery, and dedication.

So that's where they are! Boats full of illegals are pulling up to our beaches to unload. No coast guard. Not even a boy scout troop.

Yes, they know the coasts, better than bigger ships. Or so my father once said.
