Plastic surgery is not covered by military so SRS might not be either.
Out of uniform they can now dress how they want. In uniform they will be able to use the name they identify with.

Exactly. Add to the fact that such people are mentally unstable, they cannot and should not be in positions that effect other people's lives or national security. So do you think there is a whole division of transsexuals out there?

Transsexuals are about .3% of the population. They are probably a smaller percentage in the military.

As has already been commented by Gipper, veterans who need medical and psychological help due to combat injuries and PTSD would be better served by this money adding to their fund to get them the best assistance as is possible.
