An employer only has to pay the wage that a worker will accept, whether that be $5 a minute or $5 a week. He doesn't have to pay you "enough to live on', you greedy fuck, he can FIRE YOU if your demands are unmeetable.
People who want enough to live on are so fucking greedy.

Well, that's the thing isn't it? The value of the labor is cheapened by the depth of the labor pool. These people whine about how they think they ought to be paid more, but there's 500 other guys in line that would take that job for less. Pay and benefits go up when there's a demand for particular skills and a limited supply of laborers from which to draw. Meanwhile, the hidden costs of hiring somebody comes out of these people's paychecks before they ever see it. Hell, you'd damn near to better these days to adopt somebody as hire them.
