Vegas Employer: Obama Won–So I Fired 22 Employees

An employer only has to pay the wage that a worker will accept, whether that be $5 a minute or $5 a week. He doesn't have to pay you "enough to live on', you greedy fuck, he can FIRE YOU if your demands are unmeetable.

People who want enough to live on are so fucking greedy.

Who defines 'enough', Comrade?

Well, that's the thing isn't it? The value of the labor is cheapened by the depth of the labor pool. These people whine about how they think they ought to be paid more, but there's 500 other guys in line that would take that job for less. Pay and benefits go up when there's a demand for particular skills and a limited supply of laborers from which to draw. Meanwhile, the hidden costs of hiring somebody comes out of these people's paychecks before they ever see it. Hell, you'd damn near to better these days to adopt somebody as hire them.

Yawn...

Funny, how come it is always that the working man has to do with less, even though his wages have gone down, but the investors and CEO's just keep getting more, and that's fine with you clowns.

I give you facts, and you ignore them and give us Leftist whining.

But America gets what it deserves this time around.

It does exactly, measure for measure. Apparently there has not been enough suffering.

Sounds like a threat. The beatings will continue until morale improves?

Guess what? We're not buying that shit anymore.

This will happen all over the nation. It's going to get ugly.

Vegas Employer: Obama Won–So I Fired 22 Employees
November 7, 2012 6:09 PM
LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.

“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”

Here’s an excerpt from the interview. Click the audio tab below to hear even more from this compelling conversation:

“I’ve done my share of educating my employees. I never tell them which way to vote. I believe in the free system we have, I believe in the right to choose who they want to be president, but I did explain as a business owner that I have always put my employees first. I always made sure that when I went without a paycheck that made sure they were paid. And I explained that I always put them first and unfortunately I’m at a point where I’m being forced to have to worry about me and my family now and a business that I built from just me to 114 employees.

So are you suggesting we boycott businesses like these?

Nope. Why would I suggest that? You guys may not like the reality, but business owners can't run their businesses at a loss like the government can. Our money is real and when the bank account is empty, we can't print money like Obama does. This man knows that Obama policies will push his expenses past affordability so he's cutting back to make sure that his business stays solvent. You've seen it all over the country today. Obama is bad for business.
I'm serious.. democrats are going to have to stop getting so offended by the truth.

You wouldn't know a fact if it bit you on the ass.

Fact is, when the investors and CEO's start taking hits, then I'll take it seriously.

Take care of the workers first, everything else sorts itself out.

The only threat Barb, is the threat of economic meltdown as the debt skyrockets while you idiot libs try to squeeze more money out of fewer producers.

Way to go!!!

For the record, the coal company that proudly announced it was firing 150 people in Utah was one where they got slapped with a million dollars in fines after a 2007 accident that killed 9.

But nope. It's Obama's fault. Really.

Joe, you're delusional again.

At no time in recorded history have employers operated for any other reason than their own self-interest.

Investors and CEO's will roll up the sidewalks and hunker down, taking care of their own.

JUST LIKE YOU WOULD.

There's a difference between self-interest and selfishness.

The GOP's biggest problem today is that it watches It's a Wonderful Life and thinks Mr. Potter is the hero of the story. Not that nasty socialist, commie George Bailey.

So they survived the fine that came before Obama but just now decided to cut back because...umm, they got a fine 5 years ago...but it's not the Obama anti-coal policies...

I'm going to have to keep working on how you arrived at this assinine conclusion. Give me a few minutes.

What can they sue for? Firing people is not illegal. Yet.

We'll fix that, eventually.

Actually, if this guy is on the level, he may have violated some labor law or the other.

He certainly sounds like a guy to make an example of. Doesn't sound like he has the resources to really fight back against a determined effort.

True, much better to just go out of business.

Don't worry about it, you'll still be a retard who thinks that Coal's biggest problem is anything Obama has done.

Psssst... it's dirty.

pssst ... it's dangerous to harvest.

psssst... no one really wants to use it.

Why not. then we hit him with a huge capital gain tax when he does and someone who is a decent human being who treats his employees well takes his business and does it better.

You really need to stop mistaking parasites for vital organs.

If they go out of business it because dumb asses won't let you lay them off or fire them, then I doubt they will have much in capital gains tax to get. Looks like the greedy government will get nothing but more on unemployment.

BTW: Many decent business people get out of business because of they can't afford to be in business.

You really need to stop being such a dumb ass when it comes to running businesses.

Joe can't help himself, he's a "Workers of the World, UNITE!" kind of guy...

:lmao: Too funny. If the libs are this hysterical with just the few little layoffs we've seen the past couple of days, wait 'til the REAL pain starts kicking in.

One thing that people forget is that often times, downsizing can result in the same take home for an owner. But the cities, counties and states are the ones that truly get starved when businesses lay off or downsize. Fewer taxes collected all around.

Well, that's what happen when idiots don't listen. Romney told 'em that the revenue stream needned broadening. But they were too busy worrying about whether Sandra Fluke had enough birth control and plotting how to force Catholics to offend their own religious beliefs.

Why would he know any better? He's a born follower; a drone, a seat-filler, a faceless nobody, and he will never aspire to anything more.

Psst, the job pays well because mining isn't like sitting on your computer in your mom's basement.

Psst, Hard work usually is dirty. Once you get over gagging at touching some dirt you may well be on your way to productive.

Psst, People need it. To do such mundane things as heat their homes, use the micro wave or even post from a computer in their mom's basement. People not only want to use it they must have it in order to survive.
