Rarely ever does the news mention the color of the sun during the weather report either. There's a certain amount of assumption that the consumer of the news has a fucking clue.

A high percentage of the time the popular vote winner and the electoral college vote winner are the same person. Perhaps you could manage to read the fucking cross tabs of a poll, maybe that would give you a fucking clue that national polls measure the national population and not electoral college votes.
