Wait? What? Hold on a minute!

You mean that there are that many people, left and right who actually don't know how this deal with Assad and Putin happened?

In an interview with a reporter, where John Kerry was outlining the reason we need to assault Syria, a reporter asked him: "Is there anything Assad can do to avoid this military strike?" Kerry said: "Yes, he can turn all of his chemical weapons over to international control, but that isn't going to happen."

The next day, Putin and Assad announce that they agree to do that.

Now up to this point, obama has been touting an attack as the only solution, never once mentioning any kind of deal.

So this wasn't any kind of plan from obama, nor was it in response to the threat of attack from the US. It was an off-hand remark from Kerry that was used by Putin and Assad to avoid or put off the attack that obama wanted.

Really people, pay attention.

Stop listening to Rush.

Obama is running this show.

Yes, Keith Olbermann told you that

Wow, another stupid, embarrassing post from you. You learn nothing. Since Kerry said this, it turned out that the Russian Foreign Minister had actually spoken to Kerry about this very proposal on the day that Kerry answered this question. So it wasn't some off-hand remark. Get the facts, and then post. You have this bad habit of doing it the other way around. You should probably delete this thread out of humiliation.

No, he just knows how to spin it to make it look like he is in control.

Obama and Kerry meant to do that...

Just ask around, I'm sure you can confirmation...

The initial reason that Kerry outlined, for the absentee golf playing president, was to punish Syria for it's use of outlawed weapons against civilians. Later the rhetoric turned to American National security but that didn't fly either. Now it seems the Barry Hussein administration has turned over control of foreign policy to the Russians.

They will, they just haven't finished formulating the spin yet.

.
They already have.

According to a few, it was Obama that forced Putin to chime in with his helpful plan based upon Horseface's gaff.

Yep....but horseface is being very careful now. (Not from the beginning, but now) and is putting the caveat out there that delay means the deal is off.

So, Obama either gives credit to Putin or he bombs Syria. Both ends piss of the American public with the exception of the "Jonestown Crowd" found here at USMB

I still have $5.00 that says bombs are coming soon. There is no money in a peaceful solution.

It wasn't the next day that Putin jumped on that gaffe. It was within the hour. How did they come up with such a plan in less than an hour?

The Russians couldn't have. They had it all along. If they hadn't jumped on Kerry's foolishness they would have brought it up anyway.

I don't know. I don't think that even Putin expected Kerry to say that. He's just quick on the draw. Compared to him, in politics, obama's the noob.

If obama had any degree of intelligence, when he first stuck his foot in his mouth a year ago with his idiot red line, he would have gone to the Pentagon, admitted to screwing up and asked for 50 different plans in case his red line was crossed. That is probably exactly what Putin did.
