So they came up with the PAC-3 Patriot missile with hit to kill technology, where it directly hits the incoming missile instead of using a proximity fuse. But that is still untested against these types of missiles.

Whining? There were no casualties due to the advanced notice, which is said to have been 2 hours. It doesn't take 2 hours for a missile from Iran to get there... so obviously someone tipped them off. If they had not been given this advanced notice, chances are there would have in fact been casualties given the destruction that has been shown on video and in pictures. There were no quick decisions that had to be made once the Iranian missiles were launched... they KNEW WAY.... in advance they were coming.
