Diogenes went to Washington, DC in search of an honest man.
His lantern was stolen.
He got a new lantern in a pawn shop (quite possibly the one stolen from him the night before and walked to Seattle in search of an honest man.
The mayor confiscated his lantern and gave it to the mob so they could riot into the night.
He bought a new lantern online - because all the stores had been vandalized and were either burned out or boarded up.
He walked to San Francisco in search of an honest man.
A mob beat him and took the lantern. They broke the glass out of it so they could use it to start fires in police cars.
And......
Nobody offered to share their coke or meth with him.
And there, the failure to share, demonstrated that the mobs in all three cities aren't socialists or even communists. Simply fascists.
You always manage to maintain your sense of humor, Hank.....
Kinda reminds me of the Kipling poem...
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
Keep on!
