Wanna Try Out Socialism?

It may be that the old battle cry: "socialism leads to communism" has lost its fear factor? I don't see many requests for Scientific Socialism on the boards nor even requests for Christian Socialism, and many are still waiting, over sixty years now, for Social Security to turn America into a communist nation. Even the poor farms of early America didn't do the deed.

"It may be that the old battle cry: "socialism leads to communism"...

No, you dope, socialism IS communism.

There are six forms of governance that require the bending of the knee and the neck to government.

These six are actually only a single way of governing, the collectivist way: Liberalism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Nazism and Progressivism, believing that government knows best. All six forms of socialism are simple variations on a theme: the individual must be subverted to the collective.

The alternative is capitalism, and free markets, based on individualism. “… the perennial question of European civilization: the individual versus the state. “Man is not ordained to the body politic, according to all that he is and has,” Thomas Aquinas wrote; “and so it does not follow that every action of his acquires merit or demerit in relation to the body politic.” NYSun

There are only two choices:

“There is simply no other choice than this: either to abstain from interference in the free play of the market, or to delegate the entire management of production and distribution to the government.
Either capitalism or socialism: there exists no middle way.”
Books / Digital Text
Are you saying that the USA is a communist nation because there is no middle way? Once we passed the Social Security laws America was a communist nation? Do people know of this no middle way? So if the Poor Farms of colonial America was socialism the country has been a socialist nation almost since it began.

I see you're still upset because Joseph Stalin's BFF, Roosevelt, couldn't make it a socialist one, huh?

Have faith.....his doppelganger, Bernie Sanders may accomplish it.

The Democrat Party does.

A Marxist as the Democrat standard-bearer???? Yup.
Here we see the culmination of the Liberal control of government schooling: indoctrination, certainly not education.Time for the Democrats to be called the ‘know-nothing party.’ And for a remedial course in the history of socialism.

1. I’ve always been a devotee of the Gates Test: when they open the gates, do people rush in, or rush out? It’s a pretty good test of socialism, in all of its forms: communism, fascism, Nazism, Progressivism, and Liberalism [check out the numbers of folks moving out of California and New York].

2. “During the first three decades of the 20th century, Argentina was one of the world's top-10 richest nations. It was ahead of Canada and Australia in total and per capita income. After Juan Peron's ideas, captured in his economic creed that he called "national socialism," became a part of Argentina's life, the country fell into economic chaos. Today it has fallen to 25th in terms of GDP.

3. Nicolas Maduro, an avowed socialist, has turned oil-rich Venezuela into a place where there are shortages of everything from toilet paper to beer, where electricity keeps shutting down, and where there are long lines of people hoping to get food. Some people are eating their pets and feeding their children from garbage bins. Socialism has crippled Venezuela's once-thriving economy. Today, Venezuela is among the world's most tragically poor countries.

4. After Germany's defeat in WWII, it was divided into socialist East Germany and capitalist West Germany. West Germans had far greater income, wealth and human rights protections. In large numbers, East Germans tried to flee to West Germany, so much so that the East German government set up deadly mines and other traps to prevent escape. Few, if any, West Germans tried to flee to East Germany, and the West German government spent no resources preventing its citizens from leaving.

5. …there's North Korea and South Korea. North Korea's nominal per capita GDP is only 3.6 percent of South Korea's nominal per capita GDP of $23,838. There are few human rights protections for North Koreans. North Korea, like East Germany, has set up deadly mines and other traps to prevent its citizens from escaping.

6. …socialist nations that have murdered tens of millions of their own citizens such as the case with the former USSR and China.

7. Sanders and other socialists hold Denmark as their dream, but Prime Minister Lars Lekke Rasmussen said: "I know that some people in the U.S. associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism. Therefore I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy." Scandinavian socialism is a myth.” Millennials for Socialism

So, since socialism has never worked, what better plan for the Democrat Party???
Quite the Straw Man you've got here. As you wrote, "Sanders and other socialists hold Denmark as their dream" so instead of contrasting the US with Denmark you list a bunch of autocrats and imply that is Bernie's goal. Whatever the definition of socialism you use, this post is very dishonest.

Bernie not a Marxist????

Let's check:

"While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

After graduating with a political science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda. There, he produced a glowing documentary on the life of socialist revolutionary Eugene Debs, who was jailed for espionage during the Red Scare and hailed by the Bolsheviks as “America’s greatest Marxist.”

In a 1918 speech in Canton, Ohio, [Eugene Victor] Debs reaffirmed his solidarity with Lenin and Trotsky, despite clear evidence of their violent plunder and treachery.

Sanders still hangs a portrait of Debs on the wall in his Senate office.

In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies.

After failed runs for Congress, Sanders in 1981 managed to get elected mayor of Burlington, Vt., where he restricted property rights for landlords, set price controls and raised property taxes to pay for communal land trusts. Local small businesses distributed fliers complaining their new mayor “does not believe in free enterprise.”

.... he named their city softball squad the “People’s Republic of Burlington” and the town’s minor league baseball team the “Vermont Reds.”

His radical activities didn’t stop at the water’s edge.

Sanders took several “goodwill” trips not only to the USSR, but also to Cuba and Nicaragua, where the Soviets were trying to expand their influence in our hemisphere.

In 1985, he traveled to Managua to celebrate the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. He called it a “heroic revolution.” Undermining anti-communist US policy, Sanders denounced the Reagan administration’s backing of the Contra rebels in a letter to the Sandinistas.

His betrayal did not end there. Sanders lobbied the White House to stop the proxy war and even tried to broker a peace deal. He adopted Managua as a sister city and invited Sandinista leader Daniel Ortega to visit the US. He exalted Ortega as “an impressive guy,” while attacking President Reagan.

“The Sandinista government has more support among the Nicaraguan people — substantially more support — than Ronald Reagan has among the American people,” Sanders told Vermont government-access TV in 1985.

..... honeymooned with his second wife in the USSR. He put up a Soviet flag in his office, shocking even the Birkenstock-wearing local liberals. At the time, the Evil Empire was on the march around the world, and threatening the US with nuclear annihilation.

Then, in 1989, as the West was on the verge of winning the Cold War, Sanders addressed the national conference of the US Peace Council — a known front for the Communist Party USA, whose members swore an oath not only to the Soviet Union but to “the triumph of Soviet power in the US.”

Today, Sanders wants to bring what he admired in the USSR, Cuba, Nicaragua and other communist states to America.

For starters, he proposes completely nationalizing our health care system and putting private health insurance and drug companies “out of business.” He also wants to break up “big banks” and control the energy industry, while providing “free” college tuition, a “living wage” and guaranteed homeownership and jobs through massive public works projects. Price tag: $18 trillion "

Sanders plans to not only soak the rich with a 90 percent-plus tax rate, while charging Wall Street a “speculation tax,” but hit every American with a “global-warming tax.”

Of course, even that wouldn’t cover the cost of his communist schemes; a President Sanders would eventually soak the middle class he claims to champion. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need, right? "http://nypost.com/2016/01/16/dont-be-fooled-by-bernie-sanders-hes-a-diehard-communist/.

Smashed that custard pie in your ugly kisser, huh?
So you're saying that as recently as 30 years ago he was sympathetic to socialists? You've already stated that Bernie holds Denmark as a model of socialism, maybe the only issue you have with Bernie is the definition of Socialism?

a. Bernie Sanders, Democrat all-star, is a Marxist.
If that is not a figment of your ideologically corrupt mind you should have no trouble providing a link where Bernie says he is a Marxist.

b. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy." Scandinavian socialism is a myth.”
Then according to your definition Bernie is not even a socialist since, as you stated, Sanders and other socialists hold Denmark as their dream.

You've been misled, and you're too stupid to recognize it.
Wrong again, I think I've just shown you to be either one or the other.

Let the school yard insults begin...

"So you're saying....."

This is what I'm proving: Sander is a Marxist, and you are a dupe.

IMHO there will be two dems, the primary one very left wing that wins the nomination, and the general one who disavows everything they said during the primaries. If not, we're going to have another Nixon-McGovern wipeout.

Yet it is fascinating to watch the result of the Democrat's own divide and conquer becoming a boomerang.
They may have swallowed their own poison pill.

While at the moment, tribalism, identity politics, may seem a triumph for the Democrat Party, it is also the rock on which a fragile constituency rolls....and splits.

"...Obama’s 2008 coalition was always more fragile than Democrats at the time believed, and that there remain obstacles to the John Judis/Ruy Teixeira theory of an Emerging Democratic Majority. Trende’s major point is that all such predictions of enduring partisan majorities (he cites many dating back over the past century and a half) ignore the fact that political coalitions inevitably draw together factions with different interests and ideologies, and frictions within those coalitions inevitably offer opportunities for the other party to regain support."
The Southern Strategy Myth and the Lost Majority

On the one hand, the old-guard Democrats, who were careful to walk the line between radicalism, and centrism, and the new upstarts who wave un-American banners of socialism, anti-white and anti-Jewish bias.
The latter have no respect for the former, as one can see in the attacks on Biden by the Sandersites.

The poor fools who have been trained to vote with the "D" no matter the issues have a choice to make, and are not equipped to do so.

Wow!

As above, the un-civil war withing the Bolshevik....er, Democrat Commissariat is metastasizing!!!

Hillary's agents in the Center For (Podesta) Progress is blasting Bernie the Marxist because he put his foot in his mouth when he became one of those detested millionaires......

"Progressive Civil War? -- Bernie Sanders Slams ThinkProgress In Wake Of Criticism

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders sent a scathing letter to the liberal and arguably pro-Democratic establishment group ThinkProgress after the organization released a video slamming the democratic socialist for dropping criticism of millionaire from his rhetoric as soon as he started earning income in that price range.

..."The Center for American Progress, which is known as CAP, was founded in 2003 by John D. Podesta, a close ally of the Clintons, and is based in Washington. It has played an important role in Democratic politics, even as it is legally required to be independent from the party. It has been funded by major Democratic donors, like the financier George Soros, ...

...Sanders accused CAP of being under the influence of corporate PAC money to prevent progressive ideas from becoming the focus of the Democratic party."
