Was the Exodus natural or supernatural, fact or fiction?

Uh-huh. Satan is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.

Another moral conundrum for your God.

Is justice delayed justice denied?

Should our human judges follow his example and allow convicted criminals to be free for years before executing their sentence.

I thought not. Thanks for agreeing that your God is a poor judge indeed.

You are trying to deceive. People do not have a "full" comprehension of the LORD. It is impossible for them to explain the thought process of the LORD. Because "people" cannot explain the LORD (that you turned away), you want to be nasty. You will have your chance to confront the LORD.

Until then, consider, there are very many things that happen to people that cannot be explained: good, evil, and other. There is no proof that they did the things that seem impossible (great feats of superhuman strength). There is no proof that evil resides within a person (just horrendous crimes). There is no proof of miracles (cures, assistance out of no where, etc), yet every day, people claim miracles happened to them. Do you really believe that we are the best and the brightest in the universe? Do you think there is a possibility that a BEING much greater is trying to guide us, but has to allow us to learn from our own mistakes?

I had questions up that you ignore for your God damned preaching.

This shows that you cannot justify what your genocidal son murdering God does.

Thanks for doing my job for me.

The Canaanites were twice cursed by the LORD. They were not the Hebrews.

Then how do explain the archaeology? The pottery is the same and there's no evidence of a destructive conquest of Canaanite cities.

I don't remember anywhere in the Bible where it said, we would know the LORD thru pottery pieces.

I do not pretend to be able to pick up an archaelogical artifact and "pretend" that I know exactly how that particular piece came to rest exactly at that spot, and then expect the rest of the world to "believe" because I 'am an expert'.

Already declaring myself to be "no expert", here are some theories:

Hebrew slaves going up against a great city would be met with laughter and ridicule. The city would send its armies out to slaughter the slaves away from the city (saving the citizens, the inconvience of having the slaves loot or destroy property. Once the armies were defeated: a surrender would be negotiated (the city would not be destroyed, and there were implied statements that the Hebrews would be "handed" these cities). The other cities' populations would flee or surrender (there is at least one story of this) the Hebrews and their LORD.

Pottery would be made according to to location of clays. The pottery would be made at specific locations and traded as "pottery", not clay. Therefore the pottery would be similar throughtout the region.

The locations of those cities are not known to archaeologists and have not been excavated, yet.

Your questions are for the "LORD", not for a lowly human that cannot explain the thoughts of the LORD.

You have not shown where "genocide" was done in the name of the LORD. There are indications that the "promised land" had people doing terrible, terrible things (one was killing innocent children), and the LORD instructed Joshua to obliterate these cities with their sinful ways. There is no indication they were told to hunt down every person of that race and kill them (that would be "genocide").

I am not the LORD. I have no reason to "justify" the LORD's actions. You will have a chance to question HIM, directly at judgement day. Save up.

The difference in our thinking is clear.

You fear death and will follow any God that appeased your fear and you have chosen the Jesus archetype while ignoring his genocidal son murdering father. The genocide in question is the flood BTW.

You fear facing God while I look forward to it.

This Bishop has something you should hear but you will likely not be able to as your head is way too far up your God's ass.

Look at the "fruits" (results). Christians and their cultures, typically have a more productive, more generous culture. Other cultures (based on beliefs of other gods or beliefs of man: gov't) have not had the same success).

The "genocide" of the flood? The fallen angels had murdered and bred people to the point the population was corrupted to the point of murderous intentions toward all people. The LORD chose the least corrupted bloodline to start over (HE did not kill "all" the people).

Without the LORD, people gravitate towards evil. While you want to pretend that removing the LORD from people would be a good thing, history has shown the opposite: in the USSR where the communists tried to purge religion, more people were murdered than by any single religion. In China, Cambodia, the same type of massacres occurred. Without the LORD, people have no reward for behaving......

I can never understand some Christians' dogged determination to take the stories of the OT as literal factual events. The Jews by-and-large certainly don't do that. They acknowledge that there is some symbolic meaning involved. It's a Christian tendency to take the OT so literally.

Ever heard of Biblical Archaeology?

The exodus was an act of God delivering his chosen people out of bondage. It was the fulfillment of a promise made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whom the lord renamed Israel, in return for their loyalty and obedience to God.

The problem is that archaeology provides no evidence for the Exodus. The Israelites were just another Canaanite community. There was no sudden influx of outsiders and no evidence of the destruction of cities as purported in the OT. While a small group may have come from Egypt, there's no evidence of a mass migration or a large slave population in Egypt.

It is a well known fact that the Egyptians did not record historically embarassing episodes. If an embarassment occured, they attempted to erase all evidence of it.

That's not the only evidence. There's the pottery. A group coming from Egypt would have had a different style. The Israelites didn't. Then there's the negative evidence. No signs of the destruction of major Canaanite cities. As far as the Egyptians go, they may not record embarrassing moments, but they also don't have records of large slave populations of any sort.

The Jews have always stuck to themselves, so to expect them to have the same pottery is pretty ridiculous. That's what makes it so great to persecute them.

No destruction of major Canaanite cities? Seriously? What about cities like Jerico? Then again, maybe when they conquered them they did not destroy them well enough for you, but there is plenty of evidence of their idol remains being beheaded by the Israelites as commanded by their God.

All that is known is that the Isralites occupied the region. Perhaps it was vaccant when they entered or maybe they just bought up all the land. You never can tell.

They DID have the same pottery, the same pottery as other Canaanites.

When was Jericho destroyed historically? NEVER in the time periods in question. Destruction leaves evidence. It's not that it isn't good enough for me, it isn't good enough for archaeologists.

Perhaps it was was vacant? Archaeology tells us it wasn't.

Perhaps they bought the land? But, but, but..., the Bible says they CONQUERED it. TRY AGAIN!!!

What a reasonable come back! You must have spent a great deal of time on that.

Instead of demonstrating all the great cultures that exist where no one believes in G*D, you DODGE!

They worshipped the same God, El.

Your point?

The Israelites were Canaanites. There was no mass migration and conquest.

No the Canaanites were not Israelites (unless they married into the Israelites). The Canaanites are the direct descendents of Ham's son Canaan. Long after that Abraham (from one of Noah's other sons) fathered, Issac, who's son, Jacob, was named Israel by G*d. His twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel......

There is dodging and then there is not bothering with those who have their heads up some God's ass because they believe that he will save their sorry ass with miracles and magic.

You guys..... too funny! When you are asked to demonstrate a better country than the USA, that was formed by Christians, and Judeo/Christian values, you will not. Instead, you focus on some tiny, insignificant little point, and try to make it into a mountain. "Morality", really.... the libs/democrats/progressives/communists/socialists/islamic extremists/homosexual activists have been telling us for decades that morality is bad, BAD. Now you want to hold it up high, like it is something "valuable"? Promote the "morals" here, in this country, and then tell us about how you approve of morals, hypocrit.
