We Finally Know the Case Against Trump, and It Is Strong

Payments for NDAs are usually tax deductible.
Not when you lie on a tax return and say they are something else. Like claiming they are legal fees for services not actually rendered, pursuant to a retainer agreement that doesn't actually exist.

And the pointabout Cohen is more important (see edit above)

If Trump was charged with campaign finance under federal law. That would be true.

However Trump wasn’t charged under federal law. Trump coming up with another excuse is irrelevant since it was Cohen that was convicted for campaign finance.

Trump charged under state law for felony business records falsification to hide Cohen’s crime.

WW

Cohen's plea deal notwithstanding, if Trump benefited personally in ANY WAY from the NDA, it by law COULD NOT be a legitimate campaign expense. Choen committed no crime, well except lying under oath to help the DOJ try to get Trump. There was no crime to cover up.

Calling a tax-deductible NDA payment a tax-deductible legal expense is tax fraud?

Seems kinda weak.

Sorry, but that's moot. Cohen's felonies are a matter of record, not of debate. Bragg can enter them into the record as facts, completely unchallenged.

Cohen filed false returns and claimed the grossed up reimbursement payments as income. Also possibly: claiming the false filed business expenses on the State corporate tax return.

Cohen filed false returns and claimed the grossed up reimbursement payments as income

So, Cohen paid more tax or less tax?

No the plea deal is a matter of record, it will be easy to prove he lied for a lesser sentence, there was no trial.
