I'm lucky to be employed and not need a stimulus check, but I will take the money if the government gives it to me.

They are sending you your own money, which you will have to pay back with interest.

More correctly, they are sending us money "funded by" the US debt, which will have to be paid back by our children and grand children, with interest and then some.

Actually they are sending me borrowed money that younger generations will have to pay back with interest... or perhaps America will default or collapse and the loaners with be SOL.
