C'mon, I know this beast as I've created copy and design for political hit ads, mainly for candidates in the far west and California.

They can't do this without tons of money. Where is that money coming from?

They want the ads high impact and scary, short n' sweet because they know voters have the attention span of a King Charles Spaniel. And it works. People don't read, study, research or source. They just watch the ads and decide. Bill Maher is right, Americans really are stupid.

A Flood of Late Spending on Midterm Elections, From Murky Sources
""""The onslaught shows how fast and aggressive strategists and donors in both parties have become about using the array of tools now available for pouring a lot of late cash into races. The efforts are a byproduct of court rulings like Citizens United and lax enforcement by the election commission and the Internal Revenue Service.
“In an inexpensive market like Topeka or Joplin, an independent group with minimal resources can come in, own that market for three weeks and can have a major impact on a campaign,” said Chris LaCivita, a strategist for Senator Pat Roberts, Republican of Kansas, who is seeking re-election and has been bolstered by millions of dollars in spending by groups formed in recent weeks.

At least 90 political nonprofits, super PACs and outside groups did not spend any money until the beginning of October, according to a New York Times analysis. Among them are 18 groups that did not exist in September, and that had collectively spent almost $9 million through Thursday."""

George Soros for demoRATS

You see, you're exactly the demographic I'm talking about. Uninformed and uneducated.

If you even GLANCED at that article it explains that the money sources can't be defined because of Citizens United and SuperPacs.

You're just another idiot in the herd and they love you.

Spoken like a true idiot.

I bet you were on the honor roll in public school.

.

Money completely controls our politics, which, I would think, would horrify people.

Politicians make decisions based on fundraising and re-election, not on what is best for their constituents.

Control over politicians by the few. Yeah, I'd think that would horrify people.

But it's not. Many are defending it. I don't get it.

Both of you are so yesterday. The sugar-daddy for the Dems this year is Tom Steyer, not Soros.

I don't either. But I know what certain parts of campaigns cost: air time and print, and it's what some of these state politicians make in a couple of years. Isn't anyone curious about where it comes from?

Deepthroat told Bob Woodard to follow the money and that advice pretty much goes for everything in politics.

Want to verify that comment? Or just continue with your fictitious blather.

Constituents make voting decisions based on what they can get from the government, not what is best for the country.

Control over politicians rests with an educated civic minded electorate.

Unfortunately, we no longer have that here.

It's a robotic response system..

Yet it's was ok with them that UNIONS spent close to 100 million dollars to buy Barry Obama a Presidents job

The American People are completely rejecting the total Fail that is Democrat Socialism, therefore Citizens United wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Joe Scarborough recently reported that a PAC Harry Reid is involved with contributed more money then the Koch boys....
Harry Reid's PAC's ad for Kay Hagan informed me that Thom Tillis killed Trayvon Martin.

They're (big money) doing it wrong. Instead of spending $40/ voter on an ad, write me a check...

I think what we really need to do is properly define a corporation as a liability, accounting and marketing being only. It clearly has no consciousness of its own to make independent political thought.
