Ukraine is a sovereign nation that has been invaded by Russia to steal Ukranian's assets.

The US has a contract/treaty with Ukraine to assist them if they were invaded by anyone.
Obama and Trump both ignored our treaty but Biden upheld it....after Ukraine was invaded to the point that it was about to disappear from the map.

The US will continue to help Ukraine with as much as possible and feasible.

The aftermath is anybody's guess.
My guess is that sometime this summer Russia will be too poor to do much more fighting. Russia will claim some sort of victory and exit everywhere but Crimea but the attacks by Ukraine will continue until Crimea is released.
