What Fascism Is and What It Isn't

As I suspected, Harry Dresden is one MFing dishonest partisan liar.

From Britannica directly....
  • Fatherland Front (Vaterländische Front) in Austria, led by Engelbert Dollfuss and supported by the Heimwehr (Home Defense Force), a major right-wing paramilitary organization; the National Union (União Nacional) in Portugal, led by António de Oliveira Salazar (which became fascist after 1936);
  • Fascists promised to deal more “firmly” with Marxists than had earlier, more democratic rightist parties. Mussolini first made his reputation as a fascist by unleashing armed squads of Blackshirts on striking workers and peasants in 1920–21.
  • Fascist movements criticized parliamentary democracy for allowing the Marxist threat to exist in the first place. According to Hitler, democracy undermined the natural selection of ruling elites and was “nothing other than the systematic cultivation of human failure.” Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s minister of propaganda, maintained that the people never rule themselves and claimed that every history-making epoch had been created by aristocrats.

Again, a key characteristic of fascism is opposition to the left and/or liberalism, as evidenced in Harry's own URL, which so-called "moderator" Meister co-signed...
  • Fascists made no secret of their hatred of Marxists of all stripes, from totalitarian communists to democratic socialists. Fascists promised to deal more “firmly” with Marxists than had earlier, more democratic rightist parties.
  • Fascist movements criticized parliamentary democracy for allowing the Marxist threat to exist in the first place.
  • Although circumstances sometimes made accommodation to political liberalism necessary, fascists condemned this doctrine for placing the rights of the individual above the needs of the Volk, encouraging “divisiveness” (i.e., political pluralism), tolerating “decadent” values, and limiting the power of the state. Fascists accused liberal “fellow travelers” of wittingly or unwittingly abetting communism.

Bottom line, of course, fascism is a right-wing problem.

So Harry the liar swoops in like some retarded-ass Captain-Save-A-Hoe, w/more lies and garbage, proving what I always say...

If Republicans didn't LIE, they'd have NOTHING to say!
So BLM and ANTIFA are VIOLENT FASCISTS Brown Shirts working for The DemNazi party?
Got it.

Like The Green Meanies in charge of our government now who want to abolish gasoline powered vehicles and exterminate anyone who disagrees with them are not a whacko religious death cult?

Most religious people on The Right believe in Freedom while The Religious Zealots on The Left only believe in Intolerance and Compliance.

why are you getting all excited marc?.....i said it was the definition i read.....you just cant fucking believe that someone who thinks like you couldnt possibly be a fascist......well you are wrong marco....

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.[2][3]

As it relates to business, here's how it intersects....

  1. Major Italian groups politically on the right, especially rich landowners and big business, feared an uprising by groups on the left, such as sharecroppers and labour unions.[67] They welcomed Fascism and supported its violent suppression of opponents on the left.[68] The accommodation of the political right into the Italian Fascist movement in the early 1920s created internal factions within the movement.
  2. The ANI held ties and influence among conservatives, Catholics, and the business community.[108] Italian national syndicalists held a common set of principles: the rejection of bourgeois values, democracy, liberalism, Marxism, internationalism, and pacifism, and the promotion of heroism, vitalism, and violence.[109] The ANI claimed that liberal democracy was no longer compatible with the modern world, and advocated a strong state and imperialism. They believed that humans are naturally predatory, and that nations are in a constant struggle in which only the strongest would survive.[110]
  3. In 1920, militant strike activity by industrial workers reached its peak in Italy and 1919 and 1920 were known as the "Red Year" (Biennio Rosso).[136] Mussolini and the Fascists took advantage of the situation by allying with industrial businesses and attacking workers and peasants in the name of preserving order and internal peace in Italy.[137]
  4. Historian Stanley G. Payne says: "[Fascism in Italy was a] primarily political dictatorship. ... The Fascist Party itself had become almost completely bureaucratized and subservient to, not dominant over, the state itself. Big business, industry, and finance retained extensive autonomy, particularly in the early years. The armed forces also enjoyed considerable autonomy. ... The Fascist militia was placed under military control. ... The judicial system was left largely intact and relatively autonomous as well. The police continued to be directed by state officials and were not taken over by party leaders ... nor was a major new police elite created.
  5. Due to the worldwide depression, Mussolini's government was able to take over most of Italy's largest failing banks, who held controlling interest in many Italian businesses.

It isn't what some have been pretending it to be of late.

Let's go deeper. There's a political party in America who's members are characterized by the belief in at least 2 or more of the following...
  • Ultranationalist
  • Militarism
  • Forcible suppression of opposition
  • Belief in a natural social hierarchy
  • Subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race
  • Strong regimentation of society and the economy

Anyone care to guess which American political party that is?!??
I noticed you ran off when I asked you give a specific example of what a "far-right" policy might be. Now you are pulling an IM2 and just starting another rant thread.

By definition, they are not far right. To be far right means you want to eliminate government control.
a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government.......can be a far right zealot just as easily as it can a left wing one....

MAGA republicans are now home grown terrorists.
Marc won't be able to wrap his head around that definition you gave, Harry.

Sure he can. Taking rights from women is just another version of Fascism.

Cussing like a sailor, freckled spittle, veins bulging, yep.... hysterical.

Nope. That's a leftwing government. Dictatorship, by it's very nature, is leftwing.

Yet another, hysterical, far rightwing partisan USMBer.

#LOLGOP #TooFunny #CLASSIC

Says the retarded leftist who has to go get his political definitions from the dictionary.

I know what fascism is, dumbass. I've seen it up close and personal in 14 different countries. I even know what it SMELLS like, and I can smell it a mile away

Hey - I don't give a flying fuck about some dumbass internet poster who doesn't even know which end is up. I care about the people in power, the people making it happen.

They're dangerous, evil people and they need to be stopped. They need to go, by hook or by crook or any other way.

To understand the nature of fascism, it is important to understand the symbolism inherent in the symbol chosen to represent it -- the fasces.

The fasces is an ancient Etruscan implement composed of a bundle of sticks bound tightly together around a cutting blade. The bundle of sticks represents a group of people with an absolute dedication to shared belief allowing for no individualism, and the cutting blade represents the political power such unwavering conformity produces.

To look for the actual fascists in this country, all one needs to do is look to the group that seeks to cancel any who dare to speak as an individual and by doing so, threaten their groupthink.
