What If We Actually Had Poor People In This Country?

Yet it has the highest poverty rate in the nation...

There is no poverty in this nation.

1. There is no poverty, no need for you to fork over a third or more of your income to the bosses.
Not the sham perpetuated by the Left to manipulate the soft-hearted/soft-headed to vote Democrat. I mean actual poverty.

Here’s the real definition, not one that is based on some folks having a slightly smaller house than you, or only a 50inch TV….

No Home, No Heat, No Food…..real poverty. If there is such a category in America, it is no more than a rounding error.

2.But, according to the Liberal mentality, poverty is having a smaller flat screen TV than you have, or one bedroom less in their home…..maybe not as shiny hubcaps on their cars.

Check this out:

The following are facts about persons defined as "poor" by the Census Bureau, taken from various government reports:

  • Forty-three percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a three-bedroom house with one-and-a-half baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.
  • Eighty percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, in 1970, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.
  • Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than two-thirds have more than two rooms per person.
  • The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)
  • Nearly three-quarters of poor households own a car; 31 percent own two or more cars.
  • Ninety-seven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.
  • Seventy-eight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.
  • Eighty-nine percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and more than a third have an automatic dishwasher.
As a group, America's poor are far from being chronically undernourished. The average consumption of protein, vitamins, and minerals is virtually the same for poor and middle-class children and, in most cases, is well above recommended norms. Poor children actually consume more meat than do higher-income children and have average protein intakes 100 percent above recommended levels. Most poor children today are, in fact, supernourished and grow up to be, on average, one inch taller and 10 pounds heavier than the GIs who stormed the beaches of Normandy in World War II. Poverty is the state of having no money or not enough money.

The solution to poverty is simple: get more money.

Getting more money is hard because it requires three things: a job, responsibility, and only having essential things.

Children are not an essential thing. In fact if you are in poverty, they will likely keep you there for the rest of your life. A smart phone is not essential. Cable television and the internet are not essential. Video games are not essential. Your own private apartment or house is not essential. You can live with other people to help share living costs.

So just about anybody can get out of poverty, and anybody with reasonable intelligence and physical abilities do not have to be in poverty provided they do all three things I listed above.

In the United States, poverty is not an infliction, it's a choice. If you choose to be poor, don't expect any sympathy from me. I chose otherwise.

As generous as I am, my present today for our Democrat voters, is to remove any necessity for that hand-wringing, or living in that crisis-mode your masters keep you in.

Democrat voters….be prepared to be shocked: there is neither racism nor poverty in this country!
Yup…you’ve been double-lied to….and you bought it like it was on sale.

The thread will concentrate on the latter lie.

There's no poverty, you have no need to either prepare to step over dead bodies due to starvation.....nor to ever vote Democrat again.

1. There is no poverty, no need for you to fork over a third or more of your income to the bosses.

2. If you have cable TV….you’re not poor.

3. If you don’t clip the coupons and shop at several grocery stores for the best prices….you know you’re not really poor.

4. If you live in the city, and you have a car….you’re not poor.

5.If you spend more time signing up for government welfare programs rather than looking for creative ways to make some money,….you’re not poor- there are other words to describe you, and they aren't compliments.

You are poor???
Here....let me help:

Some plans if you need some extra bucks: (When Money is Tight, These 9 Resources Can Help You)

6. Make a Little Extra Money While You Watch TV
Surveys aren’t the quickest way to make money, but they’re a great way to cash in on your downtime and pad your pockets for the next rainy day. Fill them out while you’re watching TV, riding the bus or waiting in line.

One survey site we love is called InboxDollars. It offers several short, daily surveys. You earn cash, so you don’t have to worry about exchanging points. It also offers more ways to earn, such as watching videos, playing scratch-off games and searching the internet.

Bonus: You’ll get a free $5 just for signing up!

7. Sell Your Stuff
When you’re short on cash, look to the back of your closet and in the depths of your attic or basement. You’ll almost certainly find a bunch of stuff you don’t use anymore.

A lot of people see this clutter and start plotting a garage sale to earn extra money. The prospect is tempting — but a garage sale might not be worth your time.

Try some alternatives, like selling your stuff online or in town to earn more money with less hassle than hosting a full-blown garage sale. Apps like Letgo and Decluttr make it super easy to sell your stuff without sitting in the front yard and dealing with strangers all day.

More ways to get money without putting your hand in your neighbor’s pocket….next.
We have some poverty PC. I'm with JoeMoma on this one. It is not like the poverty suffered in some other nations but it is out there. There are two families I know of without this year. One couple had no heat at all in their rented house and no funds and the other couple is staying with their small child in a friend's house and these are not immigrants or illegals. Work is very spotty and even at that and by the time they pay for gas and all there isn't much left for them at the end of the month. They don't eat good at all because junk food is definitely cheaper than good food and between that and the vaccines it shows in their health and physical abilities. Not only all of that but they also didn't learn how to manage what they do have well when they were both working and that falls back on their parents (a couple of them were addicts) and the school system along with the propaganda that has been pushed for several generations. Smaller starter homes are not built with young people starting out in mind. Instead builders go for bigger bucks and that is due to the cost overall of not only materials but taxes, labor, etc.... Utility companies, grocery suppliers and insurance companies keep raising rates higher and higher with no end in sight even though the cost of fuel has been down. An I-type phone only cost $29.00 and is a basic necessity in this modern world we live in, it cost about $40 a month to keep a pay as you go plan going. We went without a phone for a lot of years and that not having an I-type phone is evident because I did not post here for those years. We have retirees living on less than $800.00 a month. Shoot even to rent a shit-hole here in the poorest county of the state is about $600.00 a month (w/out utilities). I can't blame the property owners for getting that much. They can't afford to rent for much less than that as they have upkeep and taxes to pay too. A family of six I know of is paying over $300.00 a month for their water and sewer in the local town nearby. Even a single person we know who uses the very minimum in water has to pay over a $100.00 a month to keep running water on.
Don't have babies. Live in an area that doesn't tax the shit out of you.

cost of Europe), NO ONE wants to live poor, hungry and in a slum.

Actually you dont know that.

No. I kinda sorta do! Just because someone is mental or an animal, poor is poor. Even the worst among us would likely opt for something better if given half the chance, especially if they could EARN IT. It is human nature. Read the title of this thread again. It says NO POOR. Nothing about people wanting or not wanting to be.

Correct, nobody wants to be poor, but people opt to be poor due to laziness or recreational narcotics use. So I disagree with your assessment that people would gladly earn a better way of life if presented with such an opportunity.

The only way there is poverty in this nation is if you make up a bogus definition of poverty.

Control of the language allows the Liberals to inject a Charles Dickens image of poverty...., complete with orphanages and poor houses.

It is false, as I have proven throughout this thread.”

Stick with an accurate definition....no home, no heat, no food.....and it doesn't exist.
You are the one who made up a bogus definition of poverty, as I pointed out several pages ago. You never responded, because you can't. You know your whole thread is based on total shit.
The actual definition of poverty, again, for the slow:
poverty
noun, often attributive
pov·er·ty | \ˈpä-vər-tē \
Definition of poverty

1a: the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions

b: renunciation as a member of a religious order of the right as an individual to own property

2: SCARCITY, DEARTH

3a: debility due to malnutrition

b: lack of fertility

Here’s the real definition, not one that is based on some folks having a slightly smaller house than you, or only a 50inch TV….

No Home, No Heat, No Food…..real poverty. If there is such a category in America, it is no more than a rounding error.

"The typical poor household, as defined by the government, has a car and air conditioning, two color televisions, cable or satellite TV, a DVD player, and a VCR.

By its own report, the typical poor family was not hungry, was able to obtain medical care when needed.

The typical average poor American has more living space in his home than the average (non-poor) European has."
Air Conditioning, Cable TV, and an Xbox: What is Poverty in the United States Today?
What you typed is correct. But there are massive variations with people living in communities. Within what you spout is others within who live with social benefits for themselves but the homes are in terrible shape. Stealing electricity and non existent plumbing exists in many cities. In extreme cold the toilets are frozen with feces in them. Fires galore with illegal electrical hookups and kerosene heaters in enclosed spaces. And the reason a percentage of this exists is because of what you spout. What are priorities?

almost makes you want to move your headquarters over there.
I don’t fuck donkeys, that’s your job. Get to work.
cheaper costs mean higher profits, right winger. the right wing is for Maximizing profits.
Go teach that about 1000 miles to the south of you.
Let's upgrade Ellis Island and take advantage of some capital opportunities.
Let's not. Go home.
this is not about equality; you have to lose and i have to win; it is about superiority.

We have a general welfare clause and a common defense clause not a general warfare clause nor a common offense clause, nor even a wall building or border security clause.

cost of Europe), NO ONE wants to live poor, hungry and in a slum.

And lots of 'em simply use the system....as the Democrats mean them to use it.
All they have to do from their side, is vote Democrat.....and whether they need the money or not, Democrats will take it from earners and hand it out.

Need proof?

. "The government’s own statistics show that people who are said to be “living in poverty” spend more than $1.50 for each dollar of income they claim."

You're repeating yourself with stats that have been shown to be out of date and manipulated by a super-conservative group. It's not even interesting anymore.

1. It must really irk you being revealed as a sucker.

Here's more of what you deserve:

2. In fact, since

President Obama took office, federal welfare

spending has increased by 41 percent, more

than $193 billion per year. Despite this government largess, more than 46 million Americans continue to live in poverty. Despite nearly $15

trillion in total welfare spending since Lyndon

Johnson declared war on poverty in 1964, the

poverty rate is perilously close to where we began more than 40 years ago.

3. Throwing money at the problem has neither

reduced poverty nor made the poor self-sufficient

a….the dramatically larger increase also suggests that part

of the program’s growth is due to conscious

policy choices by this administration to ease

eligibility rules and expand caseloads….income limits for eligibility have

risen twice as fast as inflation since 2007

and are now roughly 10 percent higher than

they were when Obama took office. Casey Mulligan, “The Sharp Increase in

The govt.throwing money to support business makes it socialism not capitalism, a form of corporate welfare. Only for the big guys, us little guys are left to tread water and hope we don't drown before the economy improves. You wouldn't know that since you are neither a business owner/operator, just a socialist corporate tool and a blind partisan

Democrats threw the mentally ill out of hospitals and the republicans gave them weapons to shoot up concerts, churches, schools, synagogues, etc. Fair enough.
