Playing Devil's Advocate, if an animal doesn't wanna have sex with a human, most are more than capable of preventing it, or harming the human. Unlike us, non-human animals aren't burdened with ego or abstract thought processes which makes something like this 'gross' to us. Dogs eat their own waste afterall. And they'll hump your leg readily or otherwise seek sexual gratification as a cat video on America's Funniest Home Videos used a vibrating toy in such a way the only conclusion was it's using it like a vibrator. What's objectionable to a human doesn't even register as something to think twice about to animals. If it feels good, that's all they care about.

Beastiality is a lot more common than people realize. And you can see how many hits come up googling for such porn vs other 'mainstream' genres. Porn caters to demand, an uncommon freak occurence will reflect that in fewer hits than something people often desire.

I don't think it's a good idea though. My concern though is only in cross-species disease transmission. We have enough to worry about having sex with our own species without introducing animal ones. I wonder what'll happen if we ever meet aliens. Will they be considered 'beastiality' or not? Thinking of all the old Star Trek episodes, Captain Kirk had no problem it seemed with beastiality. :) Spock in fact is the product of beastilality :)

On a related note, it's morally acceptable to enslave animals, eat animals, and hunt for sport animals, just don't have sex with animals. :) Shows how sexually repressed our culture is. :)
