What Is Wrong With Socialism!?

To benefit at the expense of others is indeed against the concepts of freedom and liberty and equal treatment under the government....

Yes, I fully support the elimination of most every socialist/social program that is redistributing wealth and assets in our country, thru the government....

It is not a dynamic society that will seek it out.. it is control mongers trying to brainwash the greedy and the lazy into allowing them to obtain the control so that they can have the handouts that they want at the expense of others

It's as if you're speaking from another planet and have no knowledge of the evidence of not only the last 8 years, but what is clearly before us today. All that matters is the script, reality seems to have no value, teach no lesson, and indicate nothing to you.

You can want all socialsit programs to go away all you want .. it ain't happening.

"handouts" .. you mean like 700 billion dollars worth of handouts. .. and you should look up the term "dynamic" before you attempt to use it. What you argue for is a "static" society that does not move, and thus, does not exist

as stated SO many times... I did not support the 700BIL either... but nice try at manipulation again

And just because one does not support socialism, does not mean one is static.... again, nice attempt at manipulation... freedom and liberty based governance is not 'static'

But keep implementing more socialist programs and move more toward socialism and you will indeed, like every other socialist country, realize exactly what a stagnant economy really is

The courts reinterpreted the Constitution to allow for social security. The Constitution grants no authority to the federal government to administrate a Social Security system.

You are correct in that if the people continue to ask for a more socialistic country, it will happen. At that time, the Constitution will again have to be reinterpreted and will eventually have to be replaced.

The only time the Constitution need be replaced is when "we the people" are no longer it's central core and most important element.

There will always be amendments to it, but it never needs to be replaced.

Democratic socialism is no threat to it whatsoever

And you keep missing the point. The fact that you don't agree with it IS the point. Now talk to me again about "control mongers" and tell me how that doesn't apply to the bailout. Americans didn't want it, didn't vote on it, don't agree with it.

Is buzz words all you have? Are Canadiens a free people .. you keep missing the question.

Freedom and liberty are not American concepts and they are not proprietary to the Constitution.

Your fear is that freedom and liberty DOES exist in Canada and elsewhere the principles of socialism are practiced .. time for new buzz words .. "freedom and liberty" have been proven to be nothing more than a strawman.

Oh yeah .. "stagnant economy" .. surely you jest

Less freedom and liberty are inherent to a redistribution and control system... or is that too hard for you to grasp?

Socialist rule leads to the increased elimination of incentive to work and earn because it is not the individual putting forth the effort that is receiving the vast benefits of the extra effort, productivity, and ingenuity

you and you r little socialist curious ilk are no more relevant or pertinent than the little teens in school walking around with their anarchy symbols sketched on their clothes and books... having the curiosity about it and the 'shock' factor of it, all the while having absolutely no clue the implementation crapola about the system they support

Some would argue that has already happened.

EXACTLY the point my wise brother.

Think about that .. is it socialism that has taken over the government and our military? .. or is it unabated capitialism in the form of a plutocracy?

Just keep your head down and stick to the script and perhaps everything deemd "public" will magically go away.

As I said earlier, what you think doesn't matter and all the cartoon characterizations of socialism won't change the fact that more of it is coming, ie; universal healthcare .. and plenty of it is already here.

It's coming because Americans will demand it.

And many more of us other Americans will oppose it... for it is against the concepts of free government and a society based on freedom and liberty

And as for plenty... I would use the term 'too much' of it is already here...

But than k God we have the constitution to protect our society from just whim.... the lazy and the greedy who want something for nothing and at the expense of others are not owed any of it

Schools have certainly indoctrinated them to want it. Whether they will like it when they get it the full effects is another story.

Did the Constitution protect you from the 700 billion stolen right before your eyes .. you're worried about "handouts" when these bastards just took the whole hand.

Capitaialism didn't protect you from that .. socialism would.

We're getting the full effects of a plutocracy right now .. and I'd go out on a limb and say people would enjoy a people-centered society just fine.

Socialism would have already had that 700 billion and then some.

"Isms in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism - he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon: "I don't believe in Beatles - I just believe in me". A good point there. Of course, he was the Walrus. I could be the Walrus - I'd still have to bum rides off of people."
