I was here before Trump's election, and I seem to remember differently. In the primary debates, Trump's stance on immigration was transcending. All the other candidates talked about immigration reform, transition into citizenship, things of that nature. Trump was the only one that stood out and said "Close that Border!!!!" and obviously it resonated with the voters. All those professional politicians that looked over polls to take a stance were soundly defeated. Trump blew them away, and I don't think it was his charming personality that did it. It's the fact that he heard our voices; the voices others chose to ignore.
