What percentage of Democrats are anti Republican because they are LGBT’ers of some kind?

I have debated with my Californian family. Gays can't have children, why do they "need" marriage? Despite the slogans and rhetorical hyper pseudo intellectual arguments. I never got a reply I thought wasn't some sophasistic logic trap. If gays can't get married...NOTHING happens.
No, wrong.

Think. Think about this.

I'm totally in favor of gay marriage.

Why?

Because... what's the alternative?

Marriage means stability, commitment, some semblance of inclusion and participation in larger society.

The alternative is the hook up scene, underground clubs, clandestine meetings, hotel rooms... no good.

Marriage is good, it's a good thing. No one should be denied to marry the person they love.

My mom was denied, for religious reasons. She was protestant, he was Catholic. Her family forbade it. And that was only one generation ago. Now, it wouldn't matter. Back then, she saw how wrong it was, said "I'm outta here" and came to America.

Where she was a stranger in a strange land. She spoke 7 languages fluently, and none of them were English.

Gnome sain'?

Let em get married. We should support that. It's a good thing.

I am Lesbian! Of course this is a damn good reason to fight you fundie bastards that want to limit my rights and put me into the fucking kitchen. Oh'yess, you also want to put us in the kitchen and treat us like second or third class citzens like the taliban.

I hate the republican party.
Actually I wouldn't want you to touch my food. So you're safe.

Well. that's your opinion. Marriage=babies, families. Gays can't make that happen. Nice sentiments aren't the next best equivalent. I feel for that argument, but it just doesn't make sense. Gays need marriage like a fish needs a unicycle, to coin a phrase.

I’ve never heard a conservative say “homosexuality is awesome” nor have I ever heard one say “infidelity is awesome”……am I missing something?
Any person, that came out and supported the nomination for Trump, to the top of the GOP ticket in 2016, did just such a thing.

Endorsing Donald Trump, endorsed everything he was, or everything he ever has been.

If the press did a terrible job of informing the public about that. . . meh, that is on the folks that voted for him to be the top of the ticket.

I can think of a few folks that had more integrity, and better policies.

Would they have beaten Hillary? Maybe not. But I am not certain it even matters at this point.

The companies that provide lists of registered voters. . . and. . . The sec. of states that send out ballots. . .
The corporate press and the meta-data manipulators of social media, are the ones that determine who wins elections, IMO.

. . . and apparently now? The ballot harvesters.

For the same reason as any couple: they want to. Or they want to adopt. Or they want to have a children where only one is a biological parent. There are already LGBT couples that have kids. Why shouldn't they be allowed to marry?

There is literally not a single state that requires children or the ability to have them in order to marry. Why then would we create a standard that doesn't exist and then apply it only to gays and lesbians?

It just doesn't make sense. It never did.

Which is why support for gay marriage has skyrocketed. There's simply no good reason why not. And plenty of great reasons why a couple would want to be married.

Seriously. I would have thought that conservatives would have taken a victory lap on gay marriage. They've pitched marriage, family, monogamy and its benefits so well that gay and lesbian couples were eager to sign on.

Its a clear win for family values.

What do the ChristoMAGAs offer LGBTqs besides death?
What is this death business?

Hyperbole much?

I get it that LGB's don't like 'cons, but come on...

In my circles I deal with more married gays than unmarried gays. Everyone accepts them, even the Morisses the most conservative couple on the block accept the married ones, have them over for dinner etc - not the unmarried ones, whom they look on as wild and unpredictable.

I'm a right leaning libertarian, so kinda half a 'con, all I ask from the LGB crowd is the same thing I ask of everyone else - just be considerate when you're in public cause there are children around. What else you may do, I truly don't care, just think about the kids and respect them, that's all I ask.

I hear that argument. I am sorry. It doesn't fly. Gays can't have kids. They CAN if they adopt or get artificial insemination. That's not how biology works. You CAN reproduce with you mate biologically. Or you can't but you need special rules and legal intervention and a heaping handful of bulshit to get treated the same. And you will never ever have children of that union, regardless.

I thought adoption was a thing with anti-choice republics.

Gay rights do not exist idiot fuck head
This is TRULY why we are a divided Nation.
Fuckstains that can't except others, especially those who raise themselves falsely above others.
You are possibly the lowest of the low.

Be Better Loser.
Take some Fake Advise from your former Porno Star 1st Lady.

Please clarify. Given muktiple Republicans desire to exterminate LGBTQs - including ChristoMAGAs on thus board - why would they ever voye Republican?
Wait wait... the religious thing does not equate with the Republican thing.

There is crossover, to be sure - not denying that.

But the reasons are different. Religious reasons are mostly based in morality, whereas political righties have a chip on their shoulder about anyone getting "special" rights (like protected classes and such, they hate that stuff).

Have you really heard someone here say "kill all gays"? That's what exterminate means, right?

Have you mot been paying attention even to the posts on this board!

A male gay couple recently got custody of children then sold them for money. An this goes off the "wow, I told you so" scale. And these nicey nice gay males got special preference in the adoption cycle.

I’ve never heard a conservative say Trump is moral as it relates to his marriages.
It doesn't matter.

The person occupying that office sets the tone for the nation. We don't have a national religion.

Do you really want me to believe that Biden and his. . . :(
Family?
. . . hasn't set the tone since he was elected?

The people in this nation no longer trust the press, or Hollyweird, or the schools and Universities like they once did. Hell, they don't even "trust the science," or medical industry any more. They don't trust anything.

The billionaire oligarchs, and their subversion of the spooks, have created an atmosphere of fear and paranoia in this nation. . . this will lead, eventually, to a closing down of our once, open and free society, if we do not start respecting & accepting each other, as we are, and uniting with each other, as one nation.
