What thepress wont do more off the record press gatherings?

It would be a waste of time for them to go.

It's like getting a confession from someone w/o getting to use the confession in court.

but

they know they will be lied too b/c they have covered up his lies before and they feel they are owed. It would be a chance for their reporters to ask tough demanding questions of people they have never demanded them from.

So how often does this administration hold these off-the-record briefings? Has every other administration held them this often? And how often are certain members of the press excluded? Just curious as to whether this is a new phenomena.

Personally, why would any administration hold them? (I have my suspicions, but want to see what others say) I could see it being legitimate in certain cases, only.

Good to see the AP showing some cajonies here for a change.

I posted about the same article. Some mod should eliminate one or merge them.

This regime has used these off the record meetings to tell the press what to say. They are not going to be told what to say anymore.

Does that mean no more Anonymous Sources in their articles too?
