It's kept the poor from eating the rich. Look at any country that does not feed the hungry, rich people have to live behind walls and travel with heavily armed guards and are still subject to frequent murder and kidnapping. Welfare programs are revolution insurance, why do you not know that? That's our fearless leader said last night about our Cuba embargo.
So, does that mean we end the war on poverty now? Welfare hasn't worked in fifty years.

Just asking a question. It's kept the poor from eating the rich. Only jobs and wage growth will end poverty, the plutocrats need to step up or shut up.Has it ended poverty? So ending welfare will end poverty in the US?
Or will ending welfare end some of the poverty?
Remember the premise of this topic.
But if ending welfare ends some of the poverty, isn't that better?

And how long has the absolutely futile, incredibly wasteful, socially destructive "war on drugs" been going on?
You agree, then. Welfare will not end poverty.Only jobs and wage growth will end poverty, the plutocrats need to step up or shut up.Has it ended poverty? So ending welfare will end poverty in the US?

No it was never meant to end poverty just to mitigate the worst of it. There can be no end of poverty in a capitalist society because there is too much money to be made off of misery. That's our fearless leader said last night about our Cuba embargo.

They are already pissed, but too many are blaming the victims, this thread is a good example. It's kept the poor from eating the rich. In that case, we should end welfare.
Look, there's alot of bullshit that happens in this country. There's alot of people who want the government to wipe their ass. There's alot of people who want to suck the cocks of the most powerful and rich individuals in the country. There's alot of people who want to trample on the poor in the name of an ideology, and then there's alot of people who want to use the poor for their own ideological ends. There's a mind boggling amount of corruption as billions of special interest money funds candidates who govern for 4 months and campaign for 20 more. And everyone just takes it. Everyone wants Congress to change, but they don't want to change their own vote. Everyone wants to save Social Security, but nobody wants to pay the extra taxes or take the cut in benefits. Everybody wants, but nobody has the will.
There's alot of bullshit. And the only way it's going to get better is if the people get pissed.

Yes it's amazing how many people just chose to not work and live off of food stamps isn't it? <sarcasm>Well, guess what. One man's whine is another man's pissed I suppose, last time it was tried all the conservatives banded together and decided that young people should just shut up and take the shit sandwich they inherited from the boomers. They are already pissed, but too many are blaming the victims, this thread is a good example. It's kept the poor from eating the rich. There's a difference between being whiny, and being pissed. People who are whiny make alot of noise but don't do much. People who are pissed go out and fucking do something. The American people are not pissed. They're just whiny.
Another thing about war: it's meant to mitigate the adversary, as the allies did with the Nazis.Yes it's amazing how many people just chose to not work and live off of food stamps isn't it? <sarcasm>Well, guess what.
