In 1968, three American astronauts orbited the moon.

One of them took a famous photograph of the Earth rising above the Moon.

This photograph was even made into an American postage stamp.

One of the three astronauts claimed that he had taken that photo, and the media simply accepted his word.

I have just read an article in which the author shows that the wrong astronaut claimed credit. (Because he simply misremembered details. He was NOT a liar. All of them were overworked and sleep-deprived.)

If you are interested in Apollo 8, you already know the name of the three astronauts.

The author of the article "proves" that it was Bill Anders who actually took that iconic photograph.
