Who is the NFL MVP this year?

Brett Favre Was a turnover machine and won MVP 3 times. This is a QBs league, and Josh Allen has been the best QB. There’s also a decent shot of the bills getting the second seed. So let’s see what happens

38/13, 39/13, 35/16. Those were his TD to int ratios his MVP years.

The Bills will be lucky to win their division. 2 seed. LOL.

Brock Purdy or Christian McCaffrey

There are one questionable pass for an INT Monday night and three tipballs for INTs. SF had a bad game, to be sure. But the still outplayed the Ravens significantly.

It's hard to overcome five ints and win.

SF is still the elite team in the NFL, and it's Purdy or McCaffrey for MVP.

Ravens Niners
241 PASS YDS 308
102 RUSH YDS 121
343 TOTAL YDS 429

Purdy has no shot unless a number of other people shit the bed. His candidacy was questionable at best prior to that game. He’s not even the MVP of his own team. Hes probably not even 3rd or 4th best p,Ayer on the 9rs.

Darkwind

If you had to lose one guy on the following list and replace them with NFL average player who are you picking

CMC. Best RB in the league
Williams Top 3 LT in the league
Bosa. DPOY last season
Deebo. Best rb/wr combo guy
Fred Warner Best MLB in the league.
Brock Purdy.

If we are talking defensive player of the year I might suggest T.J. Watt.

Miles Garrett should be unanimous for DPOY

And 20 turnovers.
Him being a pick machine is overstated. He has one more interception than Mahomes, and nobody talks about Mahomes being turnover prone. Last year he also had one more than Mahomes.

A lot of Mahomes' miscues were ignored because he always managed to do what was necessary to get the win. Last year. This year, not so much.

They also arent talking about him as the MVP either. Joshy turns the ball over a lot and the Bills are trending in the wrong direction. Allen is good very very good but he aint the MVP.

Guys like Dan Orlovsky and Richard Sherman are supporting Allen for MVP, so we’ll see what happens. If we’re playing for the division in the last game of the year and we win with Josh Allen playing great, it’ll be hard to vote for someone else.

You’re crazy. Watt is currently playing better. They already stole one from Watt and gave it to Darnold a few years ago. Watt might get to 20 sacks. He‘ll be only the second person to record 20 or more sacks twice in their career. If he does it both dudes will be named Watt.

Watt has
More sacks, more tackles almost twice as many, more fumble recoveries, more fumble recoveries for TD, more int, more passes defended the same forced fumbles. In what world would Garrett be the unanimous DPOY given those facts?

Harder than to vote for the guy who played great all year and wrapped up his division title in week 16?

You better hope they don’t lose to Zappe and the hapless Pats again

Pass Rush Win rate = how often a pass-rusher is able to beat his block within 2.5 seconds
Myles Garrett 30% (2nd)
TJ Watt 23% (5th)

Double Team Rate
Myles Garrett 31% (2nd)
TJ Watt 15% (15th)

Points Saved = How much a player contributes to stopping the run total via:
  • # of players in "the box"
  • Blown blocks forced
  • Broken tackles allowed
  • Forced Turnovers
Myles Garrett: 7.29 points saved (8th)
TJ Watt: 7.07 points saved (9th)

To Summarize, Myles Garrett has 13 sacks and 4 Forced Fumbles (Compared to Watts 16 sacks and 3 Forced Fumbles) as he is being able to beat his opponent more often while being double teamed twice as often, and being able to stop the run better and save his team more points.

In regards to Watt vs. Garrett.. it's Garrett 100%

Josh Allen is not the MVP. His team is barely over .500 and while he’s the reason they win most of the time hes also the reason they lose every time. You can’t throw that many picks some of which are just stupid as shit, and win the MVP.

Lamar Jackson is the MVP. Tyreek if he gets 2k yds should be in the running as should CMC.

Allen has 20 turnovers. He’s not the MVP.

QBR

Jackson 63.0 (8th)

Rushing/TD

It seems like Allen is better at throwing for more yards, throwing for more TD's, running for more TD's, and is a better rated QB on a team that has a worse defense than Jackson.

Allen is clearly more valuable to his team, and is a more effective QB than Jackson.

Buffalo has bad meaningful losses. Balt has no bad losses or less bad losses and 2 big wins just recently. Buffalo has DAL at home recently only? That matters.
