So why hasn't Obama turned over the relevant radar and satellite data?

"Second, Obama should come clean and provide whatever radar and satellite data he has that will shed light on how the plane was downed.

"Most of what we know so far, has been provided by Moscow from a news conference that was moderated by Russian air force chief Lt. Gen. Igor Makushev.

"Naturally, the western media blacked out most of what Makushev had to say.

If I was going to point fingers, I'd point one directly at Malaysian Air officials and the idiot pilots for this disaster. They were flying directly over one of the world's civil war hot spots, where at least two advanced fighters and a transport jet had already been shot down by ethnic Russian rebels.

But they thought they were safe in a lumbering airliner at 35,000 feet...because the Russians didn't have anything that'd blow them out of the sky at that altitude? And they were there to save fuel! I don't know how much fuel they saved, but I'm pretty sure they didn't use as much as they thought they were going to use. This disaster was the fault of gross stupidity on the part of Malaysian Airlines, period.

The Ukrainian military could just as easily have shot the plane down as Russian rebels. They possess at least three of the most advanced BUK systems. Honestly, I'd say the odds are 50/50 as to which side did it. If the Ukrainians did it, they thought it was a Russian military plane. If the rebels did it, they thought it was a Ukrainian military plane.

I watched RT TV coverage of Moscow residents lined up at the Dutch Embassy where thousands had left flowers, notes of condolence, and teddy bears on the sidewalk. They interviewed several. They were just as shocked and repulsed by what had happened as any other civilized human being should be. But they back their man with a 70%+ support rating, don't they?

Just over a year ago Obama's red line in Syria blew up in his face when the internet provided evidence both sides in Syria may have used poison gas; one day, one of these Big Lies is going to be uncovered by millions in cyberspace before the politicians can hide.

Maybe Flight 17 will turn out to be that particular Big Lie?

The Ukrainian military could just as easily have shot the plane down as Russian rebels. They possess at least three of the most advanced BUK systems. Honestly, I'd say the odds are 50/50 as to which side did it. If the Ukrainians did it, they thought it was a Russian military plane. If the rebels did it, they thought it was a Ukrainian military plane.

I watched RT TV coverage of Moscow residents lined up at the Dutch Embassy where thousands had left flowers, notes of condolence, and teddy bears on the sidewalk. They interviewed several. They were just as shocked and repulsed by what had happened as any other civilized human being should be. But they back their man with a 70%+ support rating, don't they?

Maybe the key pieces of evidence that will unlock this mystery are the Air Traffic Control cockpit tapes that recorded the conversations between the pilots of Flight 17 and controllers in Kiev; these tapes will reveal what the pilots saw/communicated in the minutes before their destruction. DC has dropped its propaganda regarding who shot down the flight which makes me think their puppets in Kiev (who currently posses the tapes) were probably responsible.

I'm afraid that the results will depend on political situation and not on a real story. Still hope to learn the truth.
And I personally would prefer it all to be a tragic accident rather then an deliberate murder of innocent people for political reasons.

I think the Dutch are announcing the results of their preliminary investigation sometime this week (9/8-9/12) but will not apportion blame. The Official Report is due by next July, I think)

So, till next July millions of interner users are going to throw tons of 'arguments' into each other, while the governments will be placing blame on each other and the tension between countries will increase... Sweet perspective.
Or everybody will just forget about the story as it often happens when a tragedy is not needed to manipulate others anymore.
