My dad, a veteran of WWII in the Pacific theater, at one point told me that when the Japs made a Banzai charge into the tents on the airfield, he had only a .45 for a weapon as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
He said the first shot stopped the Jap's forward motion and the second shot dropped him. The giant subsonic lead slug absorbed a great deal of energy, I guess.

This sucker has had the cylinder reamed to accept 10mm Magnum rounds.
The pic shows .40, 10mm. And 10mm Magnum rounds.
If ya asked joe the 10mm Magnum outa leave a guy with just some arms and legs.

I carry a Colt Delta Elite when I am in the desert, but I have been contemplating picking up a Dan Wesson long slide 10mm.

I have had my Delta since they first came out I used to have a Bren 10 but it got to where spare parts were unobtainable so I sold it to a friend who just wanted to have it, but not shoot it.
