The gubmint has around $4 trillion coming in...More than enough to "pay our bills"...The problem is, and always has been, idiotic profligate spending.

It’s the age old flaw. Borrow it now and the pay for it with credit later. It’s utter nonsense. That not called a budget, it’s called debt.

If it was a budget, they’d say “we need x dollars now to pay for our plans for the next year”, what they are actually doing is over spending now, and then asking for the money later to cover what they already spent, then saying the government would shut down if they don’t borrow more money for past expenditures.

It’s kinda like they are saying they can’t create more debt in the future if they don’t pay for the debt they created in the past.

We need to get out of this cycle and start budgeting for the future, not the past.

They played the same game during the Trump admin. Only then, they made Trump the bad guy for his opposition to greater spending and raising the debt ceiling. Now the shoe is on the other foot--Biden is holding the debt ceiling hostage because congress is demanding cuts in the democrats commie spending programs. Biden and the democrats couldn't be more transparent with their anti-American shenanigans.
