China just gave Trump lip-service that it would (could) solve the rogue NK regime problem....It will NOT happen......The "why" is rather simple.....
In the same way that Germany once unified became an economic giant in Europe, China is well aware that a unified Korea would pose an equally powerful competitor right next door to them.
Given that premise, the only way that China will intervene in resolving the issue of curtailing the deranged Kim-Jung-Un's fantasy of grandeur as a world's nuclear power, is to either double down on curtailing virtually ALL Chinese imports for a year or so........OR, to offer an even larger "carrot" to China regarding what we would import without any threats of tariffs......
Trump is doing this all wrong (negating that only possible reason in having a business "deal-maker" in the WH................To threaten the EU with tariffs, will make China the nation that these European countries will turn toward for additional trade agreements......and we can completely forget China's intervention in NK.......
Bottom line is this......China probably has enough NK "generals" in their back pocket and enough spies within Un's palace to quickly dethrone this maniac.......but China MUST benefit economically for such an intervention.......Unifying Korea may NOT be what China ultimately wants......and Trump best get some decent advice and stop his moronic tweeting about the media picking on him.
