My son started around eleven with acknowledging his position but did not take hormone stuff until over eighteen after two years of therapy with a psychologist, he has never had any operations.

The key to curtailing this is to encourage lawsuits when mistakes are made and the patient discovers they really weren't a tranny after getting treatment.
