Like I said, politicians aren't supposed to do anything for people but let them be free. If you want a government that takes care of people like children, you need to go to a place like Cuba or China.

As far as what the Republicans did for the country, they lowered taxes--particularly during the Bush years. Speaking of Bush, he instituted the Do Not Call program, and I've never had more peace at home since. Currently, the Republicans reduced the deficit which means a slower growing debt. In some Republican states, they've saved the taxpayers millions by instituting requirements to receive Food Stamps such as having a part-time job, volunteering time to charity, or enrolling in a vocational school. Since then, many people have gotten off of the program and now support themselves.
