Why has there been no Impeachment Inquiry vote as required?

Don't be surprised when this political theater backfires. The votes aren't there, but at least our political elites will get to mug for the cameras and get hearing soundbites for campaign commercials.
Life Sucks when you cheat in an election, outspend your Trump 6-1, beg Putin to help you by producing a dirty dossier, have corrupt FBI and DOJ Obama Bin Lying Cock suckers falsify FISA Affidavits, hire Pakistanis Criminal Hackers to pry in to Congressional Files, and even go so far as to Abuse the Power of Government to spy on a rival Campaign and still lose.

You people are more suited to launching COUPS in Venezuela. You don't belong here in The Land of The Free and Home of The Brave.

I am laughing in your faces, DemTards!

Colombian Drug Carels pay well, don't they Nancy?

This will cost the Dems the House in 2020.

Many today are surprised Nanners made this move.

Nancy Pelosi just made one of the most colossal blunders in modern American politics

Rejecting the accumulated wisdom of a long and successful career in the House of Representatives, she set aside her own instincts and announced the beginning of formal impeachment proceedings against President Trump on the basis of a third-hand rumor about a phone call with the president of a Eurasian republic.

Pelosi knows this will not be popular. She knows more than that. She knows that it will be a disaster for the Democratic Party, that it will inflame the president's base and inspire even his most lukewarm supporters with a sense of outrage.

And yet, it is. This opens the door to access to records and documents the Congress otherwise wouldn't have had access to.
Nope.

That requires an impeachment hearing.
Says who?

(This is now the second time I'm asking you because you didn't answer it the first time)
What are the steps involved in the impeachment of a president?

The process is started by a two-thirds majority vote of the Parliament (House of Representatives) to impeach the President, whereupon the Constitutional Court (The Senate) decides whether the President is guilty of the crime of which he is charged. If he is found guilty, he is removed from power.

What you're describing is impeachment.

An impeachment inquiry is a pre-impeachment process which gains Congress access to some documents and records to which they wouldn't otherwise have access and to determine if articles of impeachment should be drafted.

Furthermore, it actually only takes a simple majority in the House to impeach. This is why you should never learn on wikipedia for research.

Actually he's quoting Bulgaria's process for impeachment from his own link. If the House decides to vote on articles of impeachment they only need a simple majority. My understanding is no vote is needed for an impeachment inquiry.

As of now they have 211 of 218 votes needed. Numbers are rising quickly, I have no doubt they will at some point in the near future have enough. Whether there is a vote or not is another thing.

You've very ably copied and pasted a portion of text describing impeachment and removal procedures in Bulgaria. Well done!
Which, like most Democracies, applies to America too.

No, that is an insane statement. Why not just quote the rules for the United States?

And he got it wrong. Impeachment requires only a simple majority to pass.
That is NOT what is being discussed. A simple majority to pass is AFTER the formal inquiry is voted on, the committees set up, and a formal recommendation to impeach by the committee.

The full house votes...if a 218 majority is reached, the judiciary committee begins an actual impeachment inquiry. Pelousy is still 70 votes shy on her side of the aisle....it will never happen.
LOL

Uh, it's happening. An impeachment inquiry is already underway. And it's already scoring points as trump is now going to release the whistle blowers complaint to Congress.

Its not happening -
It's a Fake Inquiry.
The fact that you don't know what words mean - does not shock me in the least.

You are welcome to post the actual procedure if you'd like. The inquiry into an impeachment requires a vote of the full house so that committees can be set up.

What happened to the two-thirds majority you told us was the threshold in the House? You know....because of Bulgaria. :21:

It's been linked to by Faun at least a couple of times and there is no mention of a vote needed for an inquiry. There certainly is no requirement by the house to pass anything by a two-thirds majority. Why not just admit you're wrong and move on?

lol In other words the Dems are saying they want to impeach the President but they don't yet know on what grounds. What is actually happening is that Nancy is trying to regain control of the House Democrats. Just last week she said she was opposed to impeachment until there were clear facts justifying it, but now, faced with widespread rebellion from the left, she is endorsing impeachment despite the fact that the Dems don't yet know what the grounds for impeachment would be. It's just more political theater from the witless Dems.

Then why don't you show the House rules that require a vote on an impeachment inquiry? You can't. Instead you posted impeachment requirements for Bulgaria and said nothing about an impeachment inquiry but rather a two-thirds threshold to pass articles of impeachment. Which is not the same as the United States.

You can't possibly be this lame.

You can't have a real impeachment inquiry without a vote of the House.

Pelosi has not, as of yet, scheduled, or said she will schedule a vote.

The reason why is simple... Pelosi is pandering to the Fascist left that demand a coup. But she knows Democrat House Candidates not in Fanatical Leftist districts can't afford to be stupid enough to vote to impeach Trump without a real impeachable offense.

Pelosi has resisted for that reason ..But AOC is now the titular (pun) head of the Democrat Party.
Where does it say there has to be a vote on an impeachment inquiry?

There is no requirement for a House vote before an impeachment inquiry is begun. Six house panels have been assigned the task, Judiciary, Intelligence, Oversight and Reform, Foreign Affairs, Financial Affairs, and Ways and Means.
