I am a Democrat, but partisan feelings aside the GOP will have a good election in 2022. True to form, left wing voters just don't go the polls as much as Republicans in midterm elections. Republicans are more likely to turn out than Democrats (72% of Republicans versus 67% of Democrats), while 59% of Independents say they’ll vote.

Bill Clinton once said: "Getting Democrats to agree on a course of action is like herding cats" Democrats....you're shooting yourselves in the foot again. If you want to hold on to power, you have to show up and vote, and fewer of you do in the midterms, so don't blame the GOP if they win. You'll have no one to blame but your lazy voter base! :disbelief:

Just use the old reliable means to win an election. Worked in 2018 to put Nancy Piglosi in power, worked to have the big steal in 2020.

That low Black voter % is very, very bad news for Democrats and might even cost them the Senate too.

Honestly, I think if Democrats want to hold onto power, they need to start focusing more on what most concerns Americans - and it is NOT climate change, 57 pronouns, CRT and equity, being welcoming to illegal immigrants, and so forth. Even abortion is 5th or 6th on the list.

Democrats are completely out of touch. And vilifying most Republicans as “threats to democracy” has energized all of them to turn out at the polls. That was a really stupid thing Biden did.

I don't think they can. Their own people are radicalized. It's their religion for many of them.

Historically a bad year for the party in power, but the Dems sure as hell aren't helping themselves.

One thing remains consistent: One of the stupid parties wins control, declares a "mandate" no matter how close things are, and then immediately tries to cram their winger agenda down our throats. That pisses of the electorate, and suddenly the other stupid party doesn't look so bad. So they vote them in. Over and over. Wash, rinse, repeat. Like clockwork.

It's only become more ridiculous as it's become more tribal. The parties are so full of themselves that they ignore the fact that many of us want them to work together, collaborate and innovate (which, ironically, was how our Constitution was created). Nowadays, if they do that, they become pariahs in their parties and lose their beloved, cushy gubmit jobs.

And We The People refuse to change the system under which these thugs operate. We deserve whatever we get.

Go back and read your last 50 posts, and ask yourself why anyone who voted for Trump should or would EVER want to "work with" you, your party, or--for that matter--even share a nation with you.

It's over, Mac, and it's over because YOU and YOUR MADNESS could not just accept the results of an election like Americans have for two centuries. No, you had to destroy his presidency and then whine about what's wrong with his voters for TWO YEARS after he was elected.

Look in the mirror. Then cry some more, whine, I don't care. It's over.

We have moved massively left over the last half century or so. Where you Progs always do the equality of no-good talk at best is insulting. You have many corrupted and no good politicians. You rarely call them out on their flaws.

The goal right now is to stop Dementia at any cost before he does more harm to our country. Work with the other side???? When was the last time the Democrats ever gave into the Republicans agenda without getting something more in return? When Republicans give into the Democrats like this last stupid assault weapons ban, what did we get out of it? How about the phony infrastructure bill?

We Republicans are sick of getting screwed. That's why we elected Trump in the first place. Working with Democrats means you do it their way, or the highway. That's it.

This election reminds me of Ronald Reagan's famous question: Are you better off today than you were four years ago?

By voting Democrat, you are saying you want more unnecessary debt to buy votes, you want higher inflation, you want higher fuel prices, you want higher grocery prices, you want to poke that Russian bear with a pointier stick, you want to see higher interest rates, you want more illegals getting into the country. Who in their right mind would vote for an agenda like that?

Now we're looking at passing out free money to irresponsible college graduates and 87,000 More IRS workers to hassle people over nickel/ dime deductions. Combined well over a half-trillion dollars in new debt on those two issues alone.

So true! And if Dems wanted to work with Republicans, they wouldn’t be vilifying us and silencing us at every turn.

Just watch what will happen once the Republicans win Congress: After years of Dems casting us as the enemy and ignoring completely any input from Republicans, they will be whining “why won’t you work with us to reach a bi-partisan consensus?”

I think the 87,000 IRS “hasslers” the Dems are planning on hiring to give headaches and waste time for conservatives is one of the biggest campaign strategies foe the Rs: emphasize that Republicans will take the billions budgeted for IRS hasslers and redirect it to border security and agents.

Won’t matter. The two crime families are essentially one.

That's what the Dems are all about, growing government and having more control over the people. Like when has the public expressed the want or need for more IRS workers? Never. It's not in the top 20 concerns Americans have. The border however is.

And they do it every time they lose an election. "We need to work together!" Well that didn't fly very well when they had leadership. Every time Trump tried to work with them, their reply was.....

Yup. Same thing happened after Biden “won.” After four years of the Dems on the warpath against Trump, weaponizing the FBI to bring him down and screaming “raaaaacist!” at every Trump voter, they were all “let’s all agree to be nice and support the president.”
