You forget that Clinton was extremely liberal until Conservatives took over Congress in November of '94. After that, he had no choice but to move to the center. No. You don't become the most Liberal Senator by being bipartisan. McCain is obviously the better choice in this matter because he has a history of crossing the aisle. However, my hope is that the liberals in Congress will get voted out in 2010 and then Obama will have to cooperate with Conservatives. Obama is a great speaker, but he needs direction. A conservative Congress can provide that for him.

What will conservatives teach Obama? How to double the debt and tank the economy? How to not win two wars? How to be diplomatic with the rest of the world? Fix education? Privatize social security so the banks can collapse and renig on our life savings? How to pollute and deny global warming? How to protect the oil companies, double gas prices, jack up inflation. Stop stem cell research.

What will the conservatives contribute?

The only thing they'll stop is any spending on the middle class. And they'll defend outsourcing and hiring illegals. Tax breaks for companies that move jobs overseas.

I think Obama would be better to do that. I'm not just saying that because I agree with him more than I agree with McCain, though. And had it just been McCain, I might have gone with him.
