Will The Democrats Finally Admit They Are a Socialist Party?

Yes, those were all mistakes. Child labor was virtually non-existent before it was "banned."
Are you fucking kidding me? Please, elaborate on how child labor was virtually "non-existent" before it was banned. I would love for you to show this, you fucking twat. I can't even fathom how someone in the fucking 21st century can sit on a internet board and openly proclaim that child labor laws were a mistake, same with roads and the minimum wage. I suppose you'd be perfectly fine with a 8 year old working 40 hours a week at $2.50 an hour since it's "regulation free." People like you make me sick.

That has nothing to do with american child labor laws, do you read the shit you post?

You obviously didn't read it because it does discuss American child labor laws, moron.
Oh yeah? Let's see, it only talks about how child labor laws didn't have a massive effect until 1938. Third world countries are a different story, idiot.

No, they are the same story. Where children work it's because starvation is the alternative.

He believes in some socialist belief's...You do know that we're a social-democracy and we have socialist elements of our economy??? Regulating and banning things like child labor, minimum wage, safetynet, tax payer dollars for roads, police, public school, etc.

I don't know if you understand reality very well.

I have said for years that the United States is little different from the countries that hardcore socialists like to call "social democracies."

What does the fact that we make the same stupid mistakes as them prove?
Mistakes? Banning child labor was a mistake? The minimum wage was a mistake? Roads were a mistake? LOOOL.

Cato Institute. Another koch funded, tax exempt think tank. The world's billionaire class gets wealthier anytime the labor pool is expanded, driving wages down. There are fixes to social security which include raising the social security cap and taxing stock transactions. Still, the wealthiest people in America, the kochs and the peter petersons campaign against social security. They want America taken back to the victorian england days of grinding poverty and the poor house.

Do you want to buy everyone a car or do you want to just let us fend for ourselves?
Just asking a question. You only said "personal responsibility". Give me some detail here.

.

Do or die is his idea of it. Pre-new deal and 19th century. Would be a cold reality for this generation...Be careful who you vote for generation x'ers.

So people starved to death before Social Security existed?

Poor people were the responsibility of the states. Then in the Great Depression the states could not provide so the federal government took over.

No, the federal government "took over" simply because FDR wanted it to take over.

Never let a tragedy go to waste!

Isn't that the Democrat motto?

BTW, you just admitted that no one starved before SS.
I didn't say no one starved. When the Great Depression hit, it was a Republican president, Hoover, that began transferring the welfare problem from the states to the national government, RFC. When FDR took over he required the able bodied to work, CCC, WPA, PWA and other work programs.

Children weren't in any position to starve thanks to FDR and federal aid.

I'm the one saying no one starved. You're saying people did. provide some examples of people starving to death or shut up.

By "required the able bodied to work" you mean he created some massive welfare programs.

No one starved ever in this country unless they were trapped in a blizzard on some mountain pass. All FDR did was prolong the Depression with his incessant government meddling in the economy.

They wouldn't have to starve if there were some evil socialist programs in place

:alcoholic:

Socialist government programs is the reason they're poor in the first place. When China abandoned communism it lifted 400 million people out of the lowest class of poverty.

People starve in socialist countries. They don't starve in capitalist countries.

Socialist government programs is the reason they're poor in the first place.

Very funny, you're advocating child labor because socialist programs that would prevent that will make them poor.
When China abandoned communism it lifted 400 million people out of the lowest class of poverty.

Wow, that lowest class must have really sucked if working for 50 cents an hour assembling Iphones is an improvement.

:smoke:

Yes, it does really suck. You obviously have no conception of how bad life can be under socialism.

People starve in socialist countries. They don't starve in capitalist countries.

Indeed, because all those nice capitalists make sure to leave some food in the garbage cans

Socialism doesn't prevent starvation. It causes starvation.

Pure socialism does as it doesn't produce innovation compared to a less centralized system could. But, once again you're describing things as between pures of pure capitalism and pure socialism...Social-democracy has capitalism but regulates it so it doesn't turn into something that fucks over 95% of the rest of the nation. In which case there's many starving people in both cases.

Pure capitalism doesn't fuck anyone over. I have yet to see anyone in here post an example of capitalism "fucking someone over." Socialism is what fucks people over. Just consider the hundreds of thousands of dollars that Social Security and Medicare have fucked me out of.

Government bailouts are not examples of capitalism. They are examples of socialism.

What a dingbat!

The point, moron, is that $trillions of taxpayer money went to the corrupt banking maffia because they were too big to fail.

If that isn't an example of your beloved capitalism screwing the population I don't know what is.

:banana2:

I know it was't really covered in the news but I think you missed something comrade

Government bailouts are an example of propping up a failed system which just happens to be capitalist in nature.
